Converting prisoners of war, capturing women as prizes of war, and sometimes asking a royal to convert to Islam for better position was the only recorded ways muslims could convert hindus, if you will read some delhi sultanate books, they knew that muslims were as little as “salt in a dish” and therefore this could never be an Islamic nation. Christians used mainly greed to convert vulnerable people even at their death beds, british missonaries destroyed Indian education system and started converting tribals by providing them food while the british kept looting Indian lands and caused multiples famines where millions of peasants died, but Christians also converted by force, portugese and people like Francis xavier being some example. After his regin Vijayanagara empire starts declaining and later defeted and declained by Deccan Sultanates.
