I'm an American Surgeon. Those external wounds are superficial and will heal up quickly. As long as the Xrays and CT scan rules out any internal injuries (internal bleeds, pneumothorax, rib fractures, fractured vertebrae and spinous process bones and head injuries) you should be fine. You will be a little sore and stiff for a few days, but nothing remarkable. I have seen far worse. It doesnt appear by the wounds that the impact had much velocity or force. You should purchase a safer helmet, rather than trying to be cool looking with a homemade rebel helmet that offers little protection. You need to start making wiser decisions at your age or your not going to be around long enough to see the successes of your wife and children. Believe me, I know plenty of guys like you and it typically doesnt end well. Your fortunate you made it this far. Just some serious friendly advice. Do with it what you will. Be well.

Hang in there, brother. Same thing happened to me some years ago while I was riding my Harley in the U.S. Some guy cut me off and caused the crash that put me in a wheelchair for six months. He took off, but someone followed him and got his plate number. Unfortunately, he was the son of police detective, so he got away with it. I guess you'd call that northern justice!

Scooters are easy to park and get through traffic but driving a car is safer albeit more stressful than a scooter because of the way the locals on scooters treat cars on the road.

I don’t like riding motorcycles because there is no protection like a car has. I was hit by a car riding a bicycle when I was 7 years old. I had 4 surgeries. I also had several concussions by not wearing a helmet when bicycling as a kid.
