As always a fantastic explanation Simon which now makes perfect sense to me. Could you explain why when you address the ball with driver it is towards the toe I have noticed on the Monday night shows too. Thanks have a great weekend.

Hi Kevin, This is a 30-year-old bad habit of Simon’s which is too ingrained to change. Any closer he feels like he’s going to shank it :)

Another great video Simon, maybe its time for me to experiment with a slightly lower tee height, my AoA with driver is neutral to maybe 1 up so would that AoA be recommended for trying a white castle tee?

In principle yes but it also depends how high above the ground your club head is at impact but certainly worth a go with that tee

Hi Simon, does swing speed need to factored into tee height? Always assumed low swing speed with driver of around 90mph needed a higher tee to get good launch characteristics? Is the takeaway from this video that centre contact is more important?

No, it really is delivery based in terms of how high above the ground you are at impact. Certainly a lower speed needs higher flight to maximise distance but not necessarily a higher tee and definitely centre strike is key

only just started skying it with driver, and instantly assumed i was hitting down on it. I tee it quite high. Then i realised I was just hitting under it and should have just lowered the tee! live and learn.
