The way it grabs the skin, so that it doesn’t move around. The slim profile, making it possible to slip shots. The weightless feel. How it doesn’t take up much space in the bag or wardrobe. Even if it doesn’t protect as well from direct shots, it protects well enough overall. As your sparring partner will miss a lot more punches.

Im really thinking about grabbing this headgear. My only concern is the plastic clip at the bottom. Im looking for a sparring headgear for MMA. Will that clip cause any issues when fighting off submissions in mma? My last heaegear would choke tf out of me on the ground.

The thought of the plastic clip pressing into my jaw or throat makes me kind of weary to purchase but it doesn't seem to be mentioned from any reviews. Guess it's just some ptsd from my current headgear. The strap slides back against my throat and chokes me when grappling. Doesn't feel good and ruins the session. I'll end up fighting chokes from a person and my headgear.
