He couldn't have taken more than 2 steps to get there from the blue line. Forward was turning up ice. It just looked bad because the feet went up over his head, but all the weight was on the outside foot during the turn

They have changed the rules that you can only hit while attempting to make contact with the puck. It has not yet reached pro leagues, but most big hitting is banned in amateur hockey.

Well, I'm not 💯 sure but I think he's supposed to stop the forward from exiting the zone with the puck. I could be wrong though.

AAA hockey? Unlikely. This is why these offshoot non-sanctioned leagues are a joke. And parents pay upwards of $20,000 for their kids to play
