In all my years of boarding, I've never had the courage to try any rails or boxes, until just a few weeks ago for the first time... and it's thanks to your videos, which have given me the confidence to try it out! Your tips such as keeping an eye on the END of the rail, are definitely key. When following that and your other tips, I was pleasantly surprised how easy and natural the rail actually was! Still haven't gotten up the courage to try the rails where you have to jump a gap to get onto it, but I've gotten pretty comfortable with the ride-on rails already, which is something I never thought I'd be doing. So I just wanted to say, thanks a bunch for all the helpful tips!

Yes 🙌🏼 I am so happy you tried and the tip’s helped! As for the jumping on rails you can practice on the rail that you ride on. Just instead of going straight and riding on, approach from the side and jump on like if you had too. The consequences go way down!

Rails are scary! I've lost count of how many times I approached the feature, convincing myself I can do it and then bailed out 😂

I remember my first rail. And I remember the second... specifically when I fell off and cracked my shin
@slashinrockin3 жыл бұрын
Hey bro, little tip I’ve picked up from park riding over the years. But some knee/shin guards used in motocross or enduro. They are cut short to fit inside the boot, and save your knees and shins from rails and hard hits in general. Fox makes a decent pair called the fox titan race guards and they’re like 40 bucks. Keep it safe out there

Awesome video man, I learned a lot. It would be dope if you if did video's like these with backflippingbenton, you two are both awesome and display different levels to snowboarding, it's very complimentary. You could each show tricks in the same explanatory manner, super dope!!!

Awesome video! Do you have any videos that bridge the gap between riding onto boxes and jumping onto these rails? I feel like I'm comfortable riding onto boxes and rails and riding into a 50/50 to boardslide on a box, but transitioning into a jump onto a box/rail, or straight into a boardslide feels really tough. Would love to see a video going over the progression and types of features/tricks to work on to get from ride on 50/50s to jumping onto rails.

I have this exact same thing with the jumping on the rail. Have you done it yet?

Have you tried to hit a tube first (urban on) before trying your first urban on rail? I think that's a great way to bridge the gap between ride on boxes and jumping on rails!
