Lessons learned from this video: Boiled dried fish with coconut milk powder, and "Don't sit on your avocados, man!" xD But seriously those are some nutty big avocados, after little google search I found that the Kenyan Hass avocados accounts for about 80% of the whole world's consumption, that's mind-blowing. Also, great video mate! Need more of Africa! :)
@kingjoshuamhuamk25596 жыл бұрын

thegr8fraz hi you will enjoy kenya more from 2024 because that's when almost all infrastructure projects come to completion.here as usual most people in the farms are up by 3am to milk the cows ,then over to the hass trees to prune,apply fertilizer ,harvest and pack activities.ah not overdoing but just pure hard work.but there are nice things to see around eg maasai Mara,lewa rhino conservancy and many more.did you know we have have the largest Bank in the world (Equity bank kenya) in terms of customer number,also we have the largest mobile money transfer system in the world Mpesa ,all these made by Kenyans.we are not perfect but there are positives you can travel and see here.cheers

@thegr8fraz And you know what's funnier? The word "avocado" comes from "aguacate" (spanish), which comes from "ahuacatl" (náhuatl, a native language in Mexico), well the thing is that it literally means "testicle" xD.

I love Kenyans so much. I was there twice in the late '80s and marveled at their kindness and sense of humor. The women were especially warm and affectionate to me, which, as a lone woman traveler, I appreciated. I used to buy crafts from the disabled people's association in Mombasa and sold them in the US for several years. The Swahili/Arab culture was a relaxing switch from the more worldly, frenetic atmosphere of Nairobi. Markets (of all kinds) were fabulous - 5 stars! Wish I could return, but now I'm too old!
