For people out there that like to use quick links etc to connect their safety chains to their hitch. Make sure you get the proper load limit link. Your tow capacity is either your truck rating or the rating of whatever you connect your trailer to your truck with. You buy a 1,000 lb quick link, your tow capacity is now 1,000 lbs even if you're towing with a dually diesel. I personally prefer to replace my hooks on the safety chain to something that fits my truck rather than something in-between my safety chain and tow hitch.

Really great video. Glad I found you.. I appreciate both the 'what to do's' and the 'what not to do's'. Because my ex that we are helping gravitates toward all the wrong things to do, and when you show him the right way, he argues his rationale until the cows come home. We're good friends, but that stuff is also why we're divorced, lol! Listen to the 'Ol Lady once in awhile. . My BF is over there helping him, because something didn't seem to fit (a pin in a hole). Turns out it wasn't ever supposed to go in the hole. (You probably know what I'm talking about.) I told him to just watch this video and read the damned manual while you're at it. Thanks!

Great vedio should have watch it before towed from Phoenix to San Diego made it safely just didn't do last step tightening up sway control 😂

Where can I get replacement hook up latches that go on the trailer frame?

I've had mine for 1 1/2 years. I just discovered in the manual that it says to tighten the activation caps to 100 ft-lb. I've been doing 45 all along and still get sway. 45 ft-lb is when you remove the compression plates and reassemble for adverse weather. I have screen shot of the manual, but can't upload.
