Antonio Silva should not be on this list. He has been nothing short of horrific this season for Benfica, hence why he was dropped by Bruno Lage. Since he has been dropped, Benfica have gone on to win every game in Liga NOS, and Silva only returning to the team against Bayern this week and dropping yet another horrible performance. I would suggest Soufiane Rahimi of Al Ain should be in this list instead. He’s been magnificent for the past 18 months, delivering in the Asian Champions League, scoring back to back hat tricks vs Al Hilal and a brace vs Al Nassr. He’s been by far the best player in the Emirati Pro League and is currently criminally underrated. Let’s not forget he recently dropped the greatest olympics campaign of all time where he broke the goalscoring record for Morocco as they finished 3rd only behind Spain and France. He has dislodged big names like En-Nesyri and El Kaabi to become Morocco’s first choice striker ahead of AFCON 2025.

Great video Alfie, but gotta say the Antonio Silva pick was somewhat of a miss. He's a good young player and will for sure be a great player but Inácio is a much better player at this point. Not only that but even in Benfica, Tomás Araújo has already proven to have a heigher ceiling and been Benfica's best CB this season, even while playing some games in RB (where he was good still). Out of this "portuguese CB Big 3", it has become a large consensus among us portuguese fans, that at this point António is the "least good" of the 3

I'm french, but considering Ligue 1 a big league is more than a stretch. We're a bit in our own with a better average level than the Netherlands or Portugal, especially our smaller teams are way better, but we're nowhere near Serie A, la Liga and Bundesliga honestly. This year's UCL has started well especially for Brest and Monaco, but I mean, only 1 UCL won by a french club, we're on par with Serbia, Scotland and Romania... And no one C2 for PSG, and then no C3 or C4... If you take the smallest ligue 1 sides, they're on par with La Liga's and maybe Serie A's, but our european clubs are not there yet. But the potential is huge. France has 65 million inhabitants, the country loves football, is good at forming players. Then we are a rich country, richer than Italy or Spain, and England too nowadays. But the clubs are poorly managed, the federation is insanely badly run, the clubs don't own their stadiums, etc. Plenty of things to improve to become a big league, we really should copy the german system.

Portuguese League isn’t that easy to score as many people think. Evanilson for example only averaged like 13 goals a season in league for Porto and he’s already got 3 in Prem for Bournemouth’l scoring against Villa and City. Top opposition. Goncalo Ramos got like 20 goals in league max. Taremi around 22 max which is good but nothing like what a gyokeres is doing It’s not that easy to get the goals Gyokeres because not everyone is doing and he’s also champions league top scorer and also scoring hat tricks against City which is also not everyone is doing so I think you have to respect it. We will see if he makes that leap and does it in Prem or La Liga which I think he can but he absolutely deserves respect his numbers are insane and hes getting numbers in Primeira Liga that no one has been doing in a long time
