@StephenC-k5o It *IS* insidious because Fabrizio has gradually, subtley, shared more and more about Greenwood after seeing his posts get more interactions from angry people, therefore driving more ad revenue. It's harmful because by not acknowledging WHY there are angry reactions to every Greenwood-related post, it implies Fabrizio doesn't actually care about the accusations surrounding the player, which risks undermining the idea we should take them seriously. By its very definition, it IS insidious.

People just don't understand what "second chance" means. Second chances are effective only if the person is punished for the original crime because punishment serves as a deterrent, reinforces accountability, and emphasizes the seriousness of the offense. Without consequences, there's no motivation for genuine change or understanding of the wrongdoing, which undermines the potential for reform and increases the risk of repeated offenses. Greenwood has not been punished. Playing for a top division la liga or ligue 1 side for more money than anyone of us will ever make instead of playing for man united is not a punishment, it's just man u moving him away so he can stop being their problem

That's what he's been doing for a long time now, he isn't a journalist, he's an influencer who worked in the pastwith a sports journalist. I'm a fan of Marseille, born and raised. I love this club more than most of things and I have accepted a lot of shit out of love for this team. Greenwood is the line which has been crossed. I refuse to watch my team while he's still working for my club, even as a janitor. But I'm the bad guy in social medias about the club (official or just fanclubs) for saying that, despite charges being dropped, he has done it. People say "but his gf forgave him / everybody makes mistakes". But tax fraud and domestic violences aren't the same kind of mistakes. Besides, whenever I asked if they heard the audios, nothing. That's the main problem : people haven't heard the audio. This is the key difference between him and other players which have been accused of crimes : proofs are available for everyone to see. Otherwise, I will never tell someone's guilty based on accusations without proofs. Which are important. When I see the amount of publications about him from Romano, I suspect that Greenwood paid him.

He may be a disgusting human being but the opportunity that he represents for a club like Getafe or OM is immense, especially in France where clubs are poor as. This is in no way justification, I'm just saying it shouldn't surprise you that he has ended up at OM and may one day play for an even bigger club, there's 0 legal basis to say he shouldn't and that's the only thing businesses consider, business. If United could've kept him without protests they would've. So good on the fans for making noise, that is their role. I also wouldn't say it is being swept under the rug, nobody is unaware of it and nobody will forget it, he will be booed everywhere he goes including at home. The fact that clubs are willing to sign a player with 0 legal problems but several PR problems isn't it being swept under the rug, they've been dragged through the mud for it and their own PR will take a hit. Ie, there's no reason for Mason to be excluded from football, he isn't a criminal.

The biggest giveaway for me was his coverage on Andrey Santos last year. He would be tweeting in October, November that “Andrey Santos still not in Nottingham Forest squad, still has ZERO minutes since joining from Chelsea” stuff like that. It was just so obvious he was being paid by either Chelsea or Santos’ agent to make a fuss about it to put pressure on forest. No reason for a transfer journalist to be reporting on a 19 year old loanee at Nottingham forest. So absurd

Alfie's criticisms about who Romano reports on and how he does it are fair and I agree... this comment here, however, is a weird take. He's a journalist who wants to stand out with branding in an age of social media - he is objectively successful in that. Saying you don't take him seriously because he markets himself comes across as jealous - perhaps a better picture might have brought more eyes to your guitar cover videos. Also seems weird to jab at person trying to do something original when your whole shtick is copying
@AlexTommo3 ай бұрын
@@juliushibbert1091 firstly, weird take or not, it's my opinion. Whether you think I'm jealous or not is completely up to you. You gotta understand that what Greenwood did wasn't as relevant outside of the UK. It has been pretty normal for the last 2 3 weeks to see posts about a new signing that's scoring goal on goal. Secondly Greenwood has been followed by a hole bunch of clubs this summer so it represented a big chunk of Romano's work so it's pretty normal to see him on his profile so frequently.
