He certainly wasn't a psychopath or a heartless being, considering he did push laws for environmental protection and such. However, now that you do mention the atrocities, I'd like to disagree and point out the contrary, for it speaks of a worse horror: How seemingly normal people with emotions and thoughts could go to such lengths of genocide. Battle field 1 was such a masterpiece all the different emotions and behaviors you can witness in the story mode is amazing and highly detailed. The disheartened soldiers walking aimlessly to the guys that are shell shocked sitting with their hands on their heads wondering why they are there talk about detail.
