A unique challenge suggested by subscriber Riccardo De Pieri: interact with the world using only the pistol and eliminate the targets from up close. I've also added a few other restrictions on top of that, like not dropping weapons to distract the bodyguards. I think Chongqing is the hardest map to do this way because you have to sneak through at least one building to get to the targets. In other maps you can usually kill targets from outside through windows or on balconies, or isolate them by doing mission stories. *NOTES:* 03:24 If you try to move Hush's body or hide it in the closet his bodyguard will try to follow him and spot you instantly. Alerting him with bullet impacts is the only way to prevent him from doing that, as he stops reacting to footsteps, throwables, visual distractions or dropped guns after you kill Hush. 05:39 Shooting someone in the stomach is not very stealthy but it's considered acceptable for Silent Assassin, as long as no one dies or sees you make the shot. 07:56 To explain how this is possible: bullets in H3 don't actually come out from a gun's barrel, they are fired from the viewpoint of the camera. So if you can point somewhere with your crosshair you can shoot there, regardless of how you are positioned. As you can see at 08:00 Agent 47's body was completely covered by the door, which is why the guard didn't see him and could only hear the gunshot.

If you wanted to be a stickler about this wouldn't you say you "interacted" with hush by dragging his body around. This depends on what you consider interaction I suppose. I say this just kind of curious if you could do this without moving his body. Excellent run as always.

In my defense, Hush is not "environment", he is the target lol. So the rules don't apply to him. And no, I don't think you can do this without dragging the body with this particular strategy, because the bodyguard will always try to stay close to Hush even after he is dead. I haven't found any other good place to isolate Hush in that building. But yeah, it is possible do this without touching the body, you just have to do it the same way the game expects you to do the Sniper Assassin challenge, when you destroy Royce's drones and then wait until both targets meet on the walkway between buildings. Then no one will try to check on either of them.

I know right. Prenatual general has pretty high standards, and yet I feel he topped himself with this run. I just pray every night before I go to sleep that he does this type of complication/restriction for hitman 1 & 2. Dear lord, please cure the pandemic, but first make Prenatual do hitman 1 & 2.

Wow, I was not aware of the ability to just shoot someone in the gut for distraction purposes while still maintaining SA lol. People like to call out the AI for being bad, and they're not wrong, but tbh i think it's more interesting and fun to have the guards react in very gamey ways. Makes it possible for players to come up with all sorts of crazy creative strats like this. Great run man :D

Oh man, I don't know if you watched actual speedruns, but it's not the worse you could do. You can throw flahsbangs or kill targets with exploding cars while the bodyguards are watching and still get SA. Silence is most certainly not required for Silent Assassin in this game. I mean, it wasn't really required in previous game either, but in H3 it became borderline meaningless. They really should've added a new rating with actual stealth requirements.

@@prenatual yeah maybe lol. something akin to enforcing a more Purist playstyle. examples of that would be No Traces in MGS5 (which wouldn't be possible all the time, but it was a cool idea - be a complete ghost and stuff) Idk if it's still possible, but i remember back in Hitman 2016, you could kneecap people with a pistol shot and knock them out, while they're on the ground without having it count against you. That stuff is a little cheating xD

When the AI is not smart enough to distinguish firearm sounds from regular noises this happens. I'm surprised that the AI in this game wasn't coded with more commands, like when enemies hear bullets hitting something right next to them, they should instantly turn around and see what's behind them instead of moving toward the source of the noise.

@@wzx6x6z6w To be fair, reactions to bullet noises are like the one thing for which you can't really fault AI NPCs in this game. They have no way of knowing from where the bullet is coming cuz 47 uses Hollywood silencers. Why they don't track the bullet to its origin after *seeing the hole in the wall* (and instead just say "Nothing to report, Command") is a different issue.

Man I wonder what a map set back in the 80s or something when Kowloon Walled City existed in Hong Kong would play well. I was strongly reminded of its existance by this map, which is in my mind, the Hitman 3 Sapienza.
