@@ry9756 but forming these connections with people in real life is very difficult currently. Her videos serve as a virtual experience of feeling so supported and loved when certain people may not feel that way. Thousands treasure her content because of how pure and raw it feels.

@@ry9756 Gen z this, Gen z that. You don't like the modern world than maybe get of the internet. You call younger people "senstive snowflakes" then have the nerve to go insert yourself where you're not significant or wanted and complain about the smallest stuff. Lately, at school, I've started thinking: wait no, I have the right to be silent, I have the right to not engage sometimes, I have the right to not be in the mood for once, I'm a human being and I love myself for that. And a week ago some girls were acting really strange and eying me in the back of the class, almost blaming me for not speeking up in the lesson, and I just kept thinking this and I'm so proud of myself, and it is entirely because of you because you said this in one of your video's and you inspired me a lot. Soo, that is how great you actually are Hitomi (:

im late to this but as someone who experienced extreme emotional neglect and child abuse growing up, hearing you talk so openly about your experiences with domestic violence makes me feel so seen and understood. the experience of witnessing such pain and violence at such a young age, but still somehow finding warmth in your childhood nonetheless, and how those feelings can both contradict and coexist. the experience of being a kid and not understanding what was happening to you or why, never feeling fully at home in your own house or your own skin. even just knowing that you were/are able to heal from those experiences and live such a fulfilling and present life fills me with hope, and helps me open up to the healing process myself. i'm sure you hear this a lot but thank you from the bottom of my heart for holding space for these conversations and being a source of such light. sending so much love

I had this huge realization watching this video. When talking about sisterhoods and having amazing relationships among women, I just never understood that. Recently that has been changing little by little, but I now suddenly get why I used to distrust women and myself as a woman so much. It was simply because I was bullied as a child, mostly by other girls. Men felt saver and more familiar, because I grew up with two brothers and no sisters. Through friendship with two amazing women I have been healing these hurts and I finally understand that feeling. It’s such a cool thing to find such friendships.
