To be honest, I prefer your ebike videos, including your off road exploring with different ebikes over varied terrain combined with following drone footage from above and to the sides. the park was a big country private house before the quarry got it, i learnt to ride horses there as a child, use to be able to see old fountains and remnants of the old house. its quite a sad story why the house was pulled down. thanks for taking me down memory lane!!

Heres a little project for you Andy. Fit a front hub motor with something like reverse polarity so it puts juice back in the battery as you ride. It bit like the dynamos we used to have on our bikes back in the 70's to run the lights. SHould extend the range and take away the need for a giant battery. Wouldnt that be cool

I have the NCM Moscow Plus Electric Mountain Bike, its a great bike and I've not had any issues with it. I keep it covered however it has endured two winters outdoors (Battery stored separate). Honestly its worth the money for me, also its gone up in price if anything...

I initially started following you with ebike battery building and ebikes. Anything electric vehiclewise would interest me, especially modifying Ebikes, scooters etc. Maybe have a look at VESC based cotrollers? Also interested in drone content too. As much as I like TT t doesn't really interest me enough to keep me viewing , likewise with ham radio stuff.

Had one of those for a few months now. The brakes failed at 800 miles. Complete loss of fluid. On further inspection front pads were down to the metal. Magura MT5 made things drastically better. Do you sell a 2kw kit or more that would fit this with minimal fuss?

Great explore on the E-Bike these videos are great not does it show us what these bikes are capable off doing but also give people the inspiration to get a E-Bike and do some exploring to places that on foot might be just to far to go. Hi Andy. I'd like you to keep your channel as it is, I'm not particularly interested in anything but I'm mildly interested in everything so your channel is perfect, I'd describe as a guy who does whatever he fancies. The only thing that I have heard is that the mythical "algorithm" does like "long format" 7 minutes rings a bell as the optimum length but I may be making that up. Good luck.

How do you find the rear mud guard/fender? I have this bike and for me, the bag on the back gets covered in mud/water as though the mud guard isn’t quite long enough…

Andy, my fat bike has the usual 250w 36v set up. It also has the walking assist function from a lever on the right bar. Is it possible to enable a throttle setup to go with the pedal assist function? I like the cycling part but sometimes I would like more help as I am a COPD/ long covid sufferer. Also, I like this style with the 20” wheels. Would this fit me as I’m 6’1”? Cheers Andy Ian

I like all of the radio, drone, ebike & solar videos which is pretty much everything. Please produce these as you see fit and I will watch them. Also the joint productions with Ringpiece are excellent too. I also like the Audi add on videos as my wife has a TT, but a fairly standard one!! Just stay away from Harry and Meghan!

The Kommoda is no MTB, but eats trails with puddles and mud with ease. I used to have the Cyrusher XF800, but I couldn’t get my old hips over the saddle and my short legs couldn’t reach the ground from the high MTB style crank position. So I purchased this step thru’ for just £1400 late last year. Even tho’ restricted to make it UK road legal, the motor is *cough* probably over the 250W continuous output limit because it has the torque of a 500-750 sized unit, but regardless Cyrusher call it a 250w, so who am I, or the police, to argue with the manufacturers rating? and of course like all electric motors it definitely produces an excess of power while under heavy load (eg: hill climbing with me on it). Especially laudable is a rear light…and brake light. That, with the double crown front forks and chunky frame does give it a very ‘moped’ appearance making it more likely to attract police attention, but as long as you don’t have the optional supplied throttle fitted, it is restricted to 15.5 mph, and Cyrusher’s rating plate is visible you should have enough to argue it is legal. Range is not great; a real world figure of 28 miles is about ball park, but for most purposes it is adequate. Interesting I found it has more rolling resistance than my old FX800..maybe due to smaller tyres? Hopefully this year, Government will approve 500w motors and throttles, making this machine almost untouchable by plod!

A question… Hi Andy, I’ve been researching eBike technology the last few months in preparation for a DIY build. As expected my thoughts have evolved the more I’ve learnt from Hub motor, to Mid Drive Bafang 1000W, to Bafang 1000W M620(?), to 4000W Bafang M620(?)…WTF.!!😂 Admittedly much of this evolution is due to watching your videos, so Thankyou for uploading such quality and truly entertaining and informative content. I am thinking of incorporating an M620 4000W Bafang, using an 8 speed internally geared hub (like a Shimano Nexus, Shimano Alfine, or Sturmey-Archer system, and a Gates Carbon Belt drive. I really like the idea of having no derailer, and a much tougher drive system (Gates carbon ) with such a powerful motor. Have you ever experimented with a internally geared hub at all.? I’m curious if you have, and what, if any, problems you have encountered doing so, or if you haven’t tried this, why not. Apologies if you have done so and that I’ve just missed it. One more quickly, can you confirm the 4000W is just the same motor only with high performance controller and a Battery voltage increase to 48 or mo. Thanks again, Regards Reece

Glad you enjoy the videos. Firstly if you run 4000W on an M620 you will lose the smooth throttle control from a standing start because you have to run your controller in sensorless mode. There are some solutions these days for a controller swap that uses the m620 built in hall sensor IC. Normally you have to send the motor away. Can't think of the company that does it off the top of my head. In my experience the torque generated by this motor is HUGE and it will probably shred a hub gear in a short time, it depends how strong it really is though i suppose. When I was riding this bike regularly on 72V 4000W I would need to change the rear sprocket every 100 miles maybe 🤣. In the end I settled at 2500W and with careful gear changes its still on the same sprocket from a few years ago. The race face front chainring is very strong and work the money.

i love the erides and ebikes. i wanna build an actual touring style motorcycle, road legal and all that. not that i dont like pedal bikes, but at 50yrs old, i'm not up to all that workout lol hence, the touring bike idea. Zero motorcycles won't make a low riding tourer. even if they did, i won't support that company. so, my only option is to build one. and, i dont know if a gearbox is better than a hub motor. i'm thinking for speed AND torque, i'll need a gearbox. where would i start to match up parts?? i haven't a clue
