I just tested out my green long barrel DC-41 that came in yesterday and it’s easily the furthest I’ve ever hit. I’ve only used aluminum bats and this bat slaps without even having to use all of your power the balls just fly off of this thing. Thank you for this video it helped my decision on which bat to get. $300 well spent.

I curious to see how fast the short barrel would stack up in exit velo. From the bats I've swung, long barrel vs. short barrel ends up being a choice of a forgiving sweet spot vs. hotter sweet spot, especially when the endload gets bigger. My hunch is the short barrel DC might catch up to the Genesis in exit velocity but the difference might come down to size of the sweet spot.

Yep and that’s why we do exit velo testing. We’re also comparing against other bats off-camera. But these bats even made the 52s jump really well

What oz was the DC long barrel you were swinging? Also for a 5’11, 250 lbs guy, what oz softball bat would you recommend? My weather averages 77 degrees for ball season, I’m 100% on the Louisville wagon but I don’t want to buy a bunch just to use them in crap weather. Currently gaming the 240 worth melons which I assume will be very similar to these. Got my hands on some APG2’s keep em and game on our 85F days or ship them to the states? Thanks bud!

yeah the compression is a lot different that the Fireflex, but the sound/feel is kind of similar. they definitely seem a lot different than Miken/Worth's early 240s!

ooof that's a tough call man. That's exactly what I was debating in the end there. If you want longevity, I'd probably go DeMarini (the purple one), but if you want hotter out of the wrapper, I'd go with the DC41

Got what appears to be a crack approximately 1/16" below the barrel on the handle of the long. Might just be paint separation, not sure. Is this normal? Connection crack?

I loved my DC41, but the end cap wouldn't stay in. It broke, I epoxied it, and it just kept coming out. So I sent it in for warranty and got the KP23, and I don't like it as much. I think I just liked the 14 inch barrel a lot more than 12.

Same scenario here! Bought the 2020 and this is 2nd time with the end cap for me, waiting to see if this new epoxy holds. If not going to buy the new one in hopes they fixed their shit cap
