You are not ready. You are incapable of fighting infections in the field to a needed level. And you were the kind of soldier i feared working on as a medic.

Why did you have fear of soldiers who may or may be HIV positive? In the heat of the battle, your job is to treat and evacuate

Sharon Bosley - if you get blood on you then you get infected. Why the hell wouldn’t he be scared to treat someone who had HIV.

I had a relative who died of HIV that he got during 5-day-war in 2008. He cut his hands on shrapnel while providing aid to a wounded soldier.

Do all soldiers getting tested on hiv regularly, specially serving overseas? Is this mandatory? Can anybody answer my question? I met USsoldiers in Germany few years ago. They have been sleeping around a lot. Before they get deployed to another country like Japan etc. do they have to get tested on HIV?

Yes all soldiers get tested for HIV reg. they get tested and the results come with in 2 weeks . and if you test positive you not allowed to deploy or perform any exercises that u have close contact with other soldiers . They take that really serious .
