Hey Ray, I am having trouble getting my system working. My 64s doesn’t show my computer in available streams. So I downloaded give and I am getting a warning that my 64s is. It fully IEEE1722.1 compliant.

Does Hive allow for saving connections? Currently using universal control for the connections matrix. It seems like I have to keep entering the connections. Kind of a pain. Thanks for the vids!

May I ask why wifi can be chosen as interface type of network in settings? Since avb runs with ethernet only Thanks!

If your wifi hardware supports the precision time protocol, class b streams can be forwarded over Wifi. I have not seen this yet, but the IEEE specification supports AVB streams over Wifi.The time latency is specified with 50 ms, with class b streams.

I am trying to find some solution to do multitrack recording on Venue S6L with a windows laptop.... will this work? Ideally, I wanted to use RME Digiface AVB but I am told S6L uses some proprietary technology and it will not support RME. Can you help me?

A pretty good guide. Is there an ability to adjust (preamp) trim controls in the PreSonus gear, through this kind of software? This is the challenge I'm trying to solve for. Using a combination of MOTU and PreSonus gear. The MOTU software is awesome but doesn't give me the control I need over the NSB 16.8 breakout box.

Would it be possible for Presonus to make a avb switch / avb to Dante / optical/ spdif endpoint interface that is usb c .. So studios can easily merge all digital io straight into any computer and network ? A all digital io that can bring things together into one endpoint that windows can play on sounds great.

Do you happen to know, if Presonus is working with Motu on the compatibility of each others devices? I've heard that there might be dropouts between them while changing parameters. Also would it be possible to send channel direct outs via avb to motu?

I just recently added 3 Personus 32R rack mixers to an AVB network with MOTU 828es and MOTU AVB switch. Overall, it has been incredibly stable, but the audio does dropout if I change preamp gain in UC Surface (the only way to control a 32R). If I adjust the parameter, all audio drops out for about 20-30 seconds. It's not a deal breaker because I only really use the 32Rs for I/O duties.

Yes, PreSonus is working directly with RME on AVB compatibility. This is partially done through Avnu.org and also with direct contacts. As of today I'm not aware of any issues with drop outs using PreSonus and RME.

Rick, I've heard of the issue with the MOTU dropping audio when adjusting preamps. I'm not sure what's going on there but I know PreSonus and MOTU have been in contact about the issue and are looking for a resolution. The biggest effort IMO to continue pushing interoperability is the Milan certification effort through Avnu.org. PreSonus are activly involved and making progress along with Meyer, D&B, L-Acoustics, Neutrik, and others.

Avdecc control works on any computer without special hardware. The Intel i210 is an affordable AVB capable network interface. Audioscience makes a virtual sound card for windows AVB. It's called Hono.

@@fireace9045 yes, that is the one. Just do a quick Google for Intel i210 avb. Granted, you will still need a virtual sound card of some sort. I'm considering writing one for windows but I have a lot of projects going on at the moment so who knows when it will happen..

Another solution for PC is the RME Digiface AVB. It converts AVB to USB 3.0. www.rme-audio.de/digiface-avb.html

@@BeerswiththeBeard I'm using the RME Digiface AVB on Mac and it has been flawless. It was originally PC only. So, i'd imagine it to have rock solid performance there as well.
