Easy to understand why there is not a trade in. You can't compare this to phones because if you trade in an older phone, they company can resell that older phone as a used device. There is no use or resell potential for HDC.

Do you own a HDC-S? If so, did it suddenly stop working due to a "manufacturer's defect"? Mine did. Took two weeks just to receive a SHIPPING LABEL to return the device to Hivemapper. Then it will take at least another 3-5 weeks before I receive the HDC-S back. ZERO concern from Hivemapper about HDC-S owners' missed token earnings. Why does this seem more like Hivemapper is more concerned about selling dash cams than supporting the product after the sale? Also, the recording feature that set the HDC-S apart from the original HDC never worked, so I paid 2x for the same functionality. I sorely regret buying a HDC-S dash cam.

sorry to hear about this. We actually did not get and HDC-s so did not experience this, but is sounds like a nightmare. I think they have really high incoming support requests for this and a heap of other issues they are overrun with, hence the......less than ideal customer support. Hopefully something they can address moving forward

Deflation is when consumer and asset prices decrease over time, and purchasing power increases. Essentially, you can buy more goods or services tomorrow with the same amount of money you have today. This is the mirror image of inflation, which is the gradual increase in prices across the economy.

When applied to price it means the price of the coin will go lower. You one of the guys heading up this mess? I would guess your understanding of deflationary assets maybe part of the problem.

@@TvCamlol. And no, no it doesn’t. “The token price will decrease” means price will go down. “Deflationary” as an adjective for a token means that supply decreases over time. Which is why I pointed it out - it’s ironic that you used it in this way since decreasing supply is associated with increased price, all other things equal. I do know what you are trying to say though and you’re entitled to your opinions. And no, I have nothing to do with how Hivemapper is run, and I assure you my understanding of toeknomics should be no cause of concern for you 😅

Why did my mount rating drop from a four to a 3?? It’s been the same for about 1 year.

the mount rating system only recently came into effect so it's not like you will have had a mount score of 4 for over a year. Your images are reviewed by humans = subjectivity = different scores for the same mount from week to week. ......yup, very much an imperfect system, but there is some positive news here we'll talk about some time soon, i.e. a score of 3 might get you 100% rewards in the future, and 4 might actually gets you boosted rewards.

@@Future_Networks The project was still early and many optimistic dash cam owners were busy buying the cams. Now that cams have been out for a while and the honeymoon has worn off, the price continues to fall. This project is beginning to resemble the likes of PlanetWatch.

@@currencyenthusiast5360not the case in my opinion. I’m no planet watch expert, but I don’t think they ever found clients to buy their data. Hivemapper is sitting on a goldmine of valuable mapping data that nobody else has….we’re still early, and I’m pleased to be watching the toxic ‘get rich quick’ crowd leave the project.
