Is this the same headroom as the classic dr103 And can be use as a pedal platform amp?

I don't own one, but I surely like the simulation of your cabinet tonal character, I always choose Hiwatt modelling for my cab no matter what head sim I use in chain (in my multi-fx pedal). I wish I could have the fortune to own 1 combo HIwatt amp.

Hello Hiwatt! I own a new Crunch 150 head and it sounds absolutely beautiful! The only issue is that there is almost no volume when I engage the delay pedal (have tried 3 delay pedals so far) in the effects loop. When I run a patch cable from Send directly into Return, there is no issue with the volume. Any solutions? Thanks!!

Ok issue resolved. It looks like the connections are reversed. The Return goes to the pedals Input and pedal Output goes to Send. My head is spinning now but it works 😂

Should be plenty loud, plus you can plug in an external speaker/cabinet to further open it up.

If you check Ebay for Hiwatt crunch, you will find Hiwatt Crunch 150's for $429.99, sold by PitbullAudio. I cannot say if they are worth the cash, but they are probably good clean Solid state pedal platforms, at the least. I'd rather try the Crunch 50, in person at a music store, but the 50's are scarce right now

Hiwatt you may want to consider what you're selling and to whom. The last thing I'd want written on my amp is some corny slogan like, "VERSATILITY" or "BIG POWER" its not a Tonka truck or Chinese Ramen noodles. If anything, what you should have written, was the very thing the knobs on the control panel are meant to do, "CONTOUR" "WARP" "SHAPE." Or hell, even better, put some acronyms there, T.C.C. Tonal Contour Controls, something along those lines, just make it look cool, not cheesy.

The crunch series amps are being phased out for the "Leeds" version. Very much less wordy. I bought a Big Crunch 350. Thankfully I was able to cover most of the lettering with electrical tape, except for "RUN" which happens to be dead center on the head.

It doesn't really compare to the dr103. $239 VS. $2,390 IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE AND QUALITY.

It's a solid state amp so more or less the same weight as Fender or Marshall combos of this size.
