I had the original Walther release of the A5, but wanted the newer stuff so I sold it and bought this and the pistol. Only downside noted is that the trigger group on the new stuff is plastic, versus the metal on the older models.

Thanks for the video, I ordered your exact set up for my mp5 and for some reason the red dot sight has a lot of slop even after tightening both screws down. Did you experience any slop issues with your sight? Rail mount feels solid, it’s just the sight for me

Thanks and sorry to hear. No slop in mine. Not sure why yours does. My advice is reposition the red dot and try again if you have not already.

@@Scott67 thanks for the reply, I did reposition and still no luck. I’m probably going to try and use my aim point from my AR to try to use some process of elimination to see if the rail or the sight is the issue. I have a feeling that the rail might be under sized

I’ve noticed something weird with the tabs on my Mp5sd. It may be because it’s chambered i. 9mm but it shouldn’t make a difference. So far I’ve only had luck with the factory issued H&K claw mount that was made for the mp5ad and others with the same recoil stop block (the two little tabs on the top) all other claw mounts wether it be a 150$ mount or a 20$ mount either don’t fit being too narrow or the one for the 90 series is too narrow to clip over the top. The factory one went right on with no issues and doesn’t have any play at all. They don’t cost much typically about 50$ you just have to track one down and wait a few months for it to come in from either Germany or Turkey.

Yeah the ncstar one isn’t labeled well at all and normally sold for the wrong things. It says it can work on a mp5 and it can work on a 90 series for the msg90. Which is two totally different rifles. Ones a sub compact semi auto and ones a carbine style sporting rifle. I was sold the same rail and don’t understand why it says mp5 on the box if it can’t fit a mp5 upper.

If there's any damage, it's where the claw of the rail grabs the gun but I can't physically see any damage.

They are but I don't shoot with this one very much. A handful since I made this video. The rail alone you can't beat for the price and if it don't hold up you didn't break the bank.

From what I researched you need to take off the fake suppressor then you need to take off the screws above the barrel not beside it and slide it off.

@@Scott67 I think you have it backwards, if you push to the forward it is less likely to move. firearm is going back towards shoulder, so optic should be forward. to elements movement forward is my thought.

No specs included. Screws are small so I didn't use my torque driver on it.

The screws in this rail are tiny tiny. If you try and tighten them much they’ll strip. I put one on my 9mm and it ended up flying off. Does perfect on the 22 though. Just get them snug with some blue loctite

I just sold my older Umarex imported MP5AP model in favor of the new HK Imported MP5SD model, while that internal parts appear to be all the same the trigger housing on the new SD model is plastic not metal and I’m very disappointed that HK would cheap out like this. If I’d known this up front I would have never purchased the SD… Shame on you HK!
