I prefer the LEM. I have the HK P2000SK LEM 40S&W which I installed the Gray Guns Short Reset Trigger, and Trijicon HD Night/Fiber Sights. Really accurate and fast shooting carry gun!

Apples and oranges. P2000 is hammer fired. VP9 is striker fired. Both excellent weapons but striker vs hammer preference becomes important.

Thank you SO SO SO much for this wonderfully, informative video! Having enjoyed both the P2000sk v2 (aka LEM) & v3 through an unusual set of circumstances, I came to the same conclusion, the v2 (LEM) model was the gun for me, but I REALLY needed THIS video to give me the information I needed to be confident in my decision. AGAIN, THANK YOU! (1) I've had nine surgeries on my hands making grip strength -- improved significantly by CAREFULLY using the Pro-hands Pro LIGHT tension hand exerciser (no, I have no sponsors) -- and racking the slide on many semi-automatics an issue. (2) Though I'm willing to go with a lighter weight spring to make racking the slide easier, I'm NOT willing to go so light as to give up on ANY accuracy. (3) I'm a woman, and you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT about hand strength in going from the double - single action with the v3. Even in a self-defense situation, when I expect I'll be experiencing a boost of adrenaline, I have NO INTEREST in fighting with my trigger, or needing to use TWO index fingers, or doing ANYTHING OTHER than aiming and shooting. (4) Although I train train train, I NEVER can get over the fear of holstering the v3 without using the decocker. To me, that's a time-bomb waiting to happen. (5) I'm blessed with being an accurate shot with the v2, though I still consider myself a relative new-comer to the gun scene (my brothers all grew up with guns during a generation when women were supposed to be in the house baking cakes) and though you are confident shooters will be able to train around that first, heavier weighted, double-action pull, when I've dropped my magazine (I'm in CA so can only use 10 bullet clips), I don't want to waste that extra time dealing with the potential loss of accuracy a minimum of 1/10th of the time. My WONDERFUL local gun shop's owner Liberty Guns & Ammo (this was PRE the run on guns) set out probably eight of the best, most highly rated CCW guns for women for me to hold, rack, see, and handle. The one that FELT the best, that immediately lined up with sites, that I could rack, even though it was more expensive, that I LOVED, IMMEDIATELY, was the HK P2000sk v3. I went home and researched the THREE that fit the bill (felt okay in my hands, I could rack them, etc) and the HK blew them ALL out of the water as far as reliability, reviews, etc. I bought the HK and waited TEN DAYS (CA law) to take possession... the day before an All Women gun group I'm in had their monthly meeting at the range. First time I fired it... 10 of 10 rounds... MISFIRED... (Brand new Fiocche ammo). I changed the brand of ammo I put through it. 8 of 10 rounds misfired. (VERY new MagTech). I put in the extra brand new clip I'd purchased. 9 of 10 rounds misfired. Many times the last shot wouldn't lock the slide open. I held up the line... very frustrating. Here, 6 of 8 rounds misfired, same problem with slide not locking open on last shot: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eV7ScoRsbamIfNk Here, a friend was firing ammo through it: Great example of the slide not locking open on last shot: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJfEh2CDadWbg8k LONG STORY LONGER! We KNEW Heckler & Koch would stand behind their gun, and OF COURSE I still wanted an HK, because, after all my research, I clearly received the RARE LEMON that came off the line. I had non-refundable classes coming up, I'm a good customer at my gun shop, MY GUN SHOP IS EXCEPTIONAL, and I received a loaner gun, a P2000sk ***v2***. BUT I DIDN'T IMMEDIATELY GET MY REPLACEMENT V3. HK -- DUE TO THE PANDEMIC -- STOPPED MANUFACTURING / SHIPPING GUNS. As of 7/18/21, HK IS manufacturing guns, again, but they're supplying their military and law enforcement customers first (I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THAT AND WILL STAND BEHIND THAT ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!!!) so I've not received my replacement v3 yet. But, NOW? After shooting this v2? I DON'T WANT A V3, ANYMORE!!! I WANT A BRAND NEW V2!!! I LOVE THIS V2!!! And YOUR VIDEO, Chris Chu, was the icing on the cake! Your video provided me with EXACTLY the information I needed to make me realize I wasn't being fickle!!!!!! So, again! I can't thank you, enough, for your great analysis and comparison of the Heckler & Koch P2000 v2 vs. P2000 v3! Kindest regards, (and I AGREE, we live in the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!) Kimberly

Very nice review. My P2000Sk LEM is my favorite carry gun. The LEM trigger is do die for. I added the longer magazine release, which I prefer. It's almost as long as my Walther P99 AS. Thanks for sharing!

How’s the lem vs the as Walther trigger?
@mychaelpierce80493 жыл бұрын
@@hlfpsttomorrow93 The LEM is my very fav. trigger for self defense. It's a hammer fired pistol. It has a light initial pull and then breaks like a single action. The Walther P99 As is a striker fired pistol with a very nice crisp trigger. I like it better the my G19. Both have short nice resets.

Why don’t you take the magazine out when you’re racking the slide for the follow up shot would make it so much easier than having to manipulate the slide stop leverevery time you want to show us the trigger pull? Just a thought.

I had a P2000K LEM. Nice gun. But I'm just more precise with DA/SA. I've often wanted to get a V3 P2SK, just to give that platform another try. But I've kinda settled on the P239 for my mid-sized carry 9mm (Kahr K9 if I want to go smaller). Also have a DAK P239 in .357 Sig. Same feelings on the DAK as the LEM: it's okay, but I ultimately prefer DA/SA. In my opinion, the Kahr trigger is actually the best of the "DAO-like" trigger setups.

Thanks Chris, great video! I'm planning to get a P2000SK soon and I was torn between the 2 versions you covered. You did a very good job in your side by side comparison review, which actually makes my decision of (if I could only have one) which would it be. But you were right, the LEM is nowhere to be found. So I think initially I'll go ahead and get the v3 while I can, then later on when I can find one, get the LEM too. I'm a DA/SA hammerfire guy anyway so I'm sure I won't be disappointed with the v3. I'm just intrigued by that LEM trigger technology. Thanks again for a great review.
