One tip - if you decide to fly from Africa or India to Europe, be sure to book a Qantas flight Dubai London but to take advantage of your AA status - make sure you book an actual Qantas plane, then you can sample the spectacular T3A - Emirates First Lounge using your emerald. Kara will be pleased to board with a glass of champagne in one hand and fresh sushi in the other as you board the A380!

I flew Quantas first class to Sydney from LAX on a 747. It was heaven! So great we sent my parents there first class too after our trip. Quantas was so good to us!

I know you have explained your mileage farming flights and credit card miles bonus, but do you have different membership cards for all these lounges? Or one membership that lets you in, and do you have to "spend" any points to enter or once you attain a status (with what....airline or card) you just show card and walk in?

Jealous! Yes you can get whatever you want. And yes we have gone back and forth between lounges, but it's a long way so I suggest going to the one that's furthest from your gate first :) Make sure you schedule your massage at the Pier!

We haven't had to book in advance because there's always been one open. But if they're full I'm sure you could be added to a waiting list. The limit is an hour and a half.

If you could just mention what aircraft you're flying on would be cool. Also if you ever get to fly Emirates do it. It's awesome! And if you can somehow upgrade to first class on the A380, they have showers on board! You guys would love it!
