HMK This is gonna be an extremely off topic question, but is Sora really safe from the “Goku rule” in Smash? What I mean is this: another KZbin commenter brought up the Dragon Ball character Android 21, who is exclusively from FighterZ, a video game. He makes the argument that even though she is video game exclusive, Dragon Ball is a franchise that is being excluded from the game. So he makes the claim that because Kingdom Hearts is a Disney RPG built a lot around Disney characters, Sora is not viable for Smash. What are your thoughts on that?

@Николай Русев I would think it would be the opposite. Ven's "darkness" was extracted because it was strong, i.e. pure. Ven had both strong light and dark inside him, which is why Xehanort singled him out and tried to use him to create the x blade. Without Ven and Vanitas clashing, Xehanort had to get 13 darknesses and 7 lights to create another x blade. So, Ven's light and Vantias' darkness were enough to replace 7 and 13 other people respectively. That's a lot of light and darkness for one boy...

Does anyone else remember the line Master Xehanort says before stealing Terra’s body? “It is your darkness that shall be the ark that sustains me!” Could have been in reference to this ark, and if so, does that mean that Xehanort has knowledge of the original ark like how he knows about Scala ad Caelum/Daybreak Town? After all, the ark leaves the user with only their heart like Xehanort does to himself to possess Terra.

Well, the theory Xehanort has read the Book of Prophecies is pretty strong at this point. We at least know he was in contact with MoM. So, it's likely Xehanort did know about the ark.

Thinking about it...Ventus, Skuld, and Laurium were all thought to be people that lost their memories. Ventus for sure, Skuld likely the girl that Lea and Isa were looking for, and I say Laurium because his ending dialogue in 3. He brings up remembering his purpose after starting to be recompleted. Since there are 5 machines, we can be almost sure that 5 people used them, but these 3 are the most likely, along with our electric Tsundere Sadist who was "along for the ride" likely meaning she did come with them but didn't forget everything, or at the very least, remembered quicker than the rest. I would actually be willing to say that 5 is Ephemer who didn't make it through the process and likely died in the jump. Though when you think about it, only 2 is thought to have made it with only memories gone, Ventus and Skuld but everyone else was turn apart one way or another. Laurium and Elrena turned into Nobodies while Ephemer is dead, his Heartless likely being Dark Inferno, same as Ventus had Dark Inferno X show up when Sora jumped into his heart.

What I've noticed is that using the Ark to time travel seems to have no backlash. Sora using the Power of Waking to time travel has a "price" though. I wonder why using the Ark doesnt count as a "nature taboo" as Chirithy put it?

Maleficent's memories of Lauriam and Darkness will allow them to travel to the future, and Lauriam's memories would therefore allow the other characters like Ventus, Subject X, and Elrena to go to the future after him.

@@mikemills7246 I think that even if that's the case, in the Kingdom Hearts series if you lose your memories they remain "etched" on your heart. So to use Young Xehanort as an example, even though he doesn't remember his exploits in the future during KH3D and KH3 after he returns to the past, those experiences are still etched in his heart. They'll influence Young Xehanort subconsciously as he pursues his future goals. Memories become more so "inaccessible" to the mind when you "forget," but they're not totally gone. We've also seen this kind of logic in Chain of Memories.

My theory about the ark is that it's basically a time capsule. If time travel works by requiring a version of yourself at the starting time and destination time, all's you'd have to do to travel forward in time is store your body in some kind of time capsule to ensure that it made it to the future. Then, once you guarantee that, you can travel to that future by sending your heart to that time. My guess is that the ark is basically some kind of cryostasis chamber that's located somewhere so secluded that almost nobody can have access to it to prevent anybody from tampering with the people it houses. Maybe the ark is located somewhere in the realm of darkness since time moves by slower in there. That's just an idea though. However, a consequence of this would be that you can't travel back to a time before you, or a version of yourself, were born/exists. Maleficient can travel back in time to daybreak town because a version of her exists in her own world from that time period. Although, if this is the case, then it really makes me question which characters are real and which aren't. Also, if this theory is true, it also opens up a whole lot of possibilities for how somebody can basically remain immortal by creating data copies or replicas of themselves or something like that. The original body or version of yourself can wither away while a version still exists and you can just travel forward in time to occupy that version of "you". That might be how luxu actually traveled so far forward through time. He said he's been through many "semblances" since the times of the foretellers.

Because of the union cross update it made me so hyped I went and started playing kh bbs again. I was really focusing on the opening cutscene when Ventus is wrapped up and is a shell of himself. Maybe this was when he found out what vanitas did aka the dark side of himself maybe it broke him mentally? So that's why he forgot about his union cross life until at the end of 3 when he sees his chirithy it makes him remember, but this was just after vanitas was defeated maybe that was the trigger to help him remember. i got one of the words right during the competition where you try to guess what the name of project Xehanort is and if you get it right you win a prize and i said "Kingdom hearts: Dark Path". so i was really close to the actual title. since i remember that the path to darkness is like a road in itself portrayed in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories when riku is presented with three paths and if i remeber correctly he says that he will take the middle path. but the three paths are represented as the path of darkness being one, the path between light and darkness, and the path of light.

The thing is, I dont think Ven is the killer. It doesnt match up with Luxu report. Luxu is suppose to pass on his Keyblade to one of the Union Leaders, he notes one of the Leaders is an imposter and represents the Virus with plans to jump to a different world line which fits as Brain is not the true leader of the new Union Leaders. Ventus is a pure heart of light or a heart of light that is vulnerable (as stated by the darkness in KH3 Remind) and it is most likely his insecurities that lead to Ventus exposing his heart, allowing Darkness to go possess him. Darkness is an enigma and is an unknown entity, when you look at the KH1 report it sounds like something that was imprison inside Kingdom Hearts and then escaped... so if the original Keyblade War during the Master of Master childhood was to seal away the darkness, the 2nd war by the Union Leaders might have released it? Whilst the aftermath of the 3rd war allowed the Union Leaders to return to the world

One has to wonder why the dark being that will become Vanitas chooses Ventus to hide within. Because of re mind I very much doubt that it came form Ventus in the first place. Though it could have hidden in his heart before Stralitzia's death, or we may see it go within Ventus in the future of union cross. Why it choose Ventus in the first place may have some very interesting things in it. Or it could just be that it has been there since Ventus was very young and welcoming. You know like Sora welcoming Ventus into his heart. Really kid you had no idea if Ventus was going to be nice or not if that had been a Vanitas like being you would have been in a lot of trouble.

Slight spoilers for remind I don’t think it’s vanitas. During the remind dlc, when we dive into ven’s heart, the darkness is there and speaks to sora before he fights the dark inferno that is within. This all happens whiles vanitas is in the world (he is part of the real organization, not in ven’s heart at this moment). This leads me to believe that “darkness” is not vanitas, but may be related to the reason vanitas exists? Possibly. Of course it’s all a little confusing but yeah.

There's one thing bothering me about the ark and the machine at the end of kh1 -We see that Maleficient is really smaller than what looks like coffins so she could fit in -We see that Sora is taller than the same coffins but the ones from the machine => if it is the same machine, then Sora would be by far taller than Maleficient BUT We know it isn't true, it's the contrary Plus the main coffin is missing in the end of the world And I need to see the ark again but it seems like there isn't a computer/whatever to have that "prophecy" we discover in the end of the world So I think the one in the end of the world is just a replica used by someone from the og Organization, the one before they became nobodies ; or it could be only Xehanort or Ansem Plus the clock tower would go being in Scala Ad Caelum but the ark underneath it would have landed in the end of the world? Either another proof for the replica or I forgot an element or event that would explain it

I have a feeling Luxu opened the box (or made someone else do it like a pure fool named Ventus which also happened to be the masters vessel coincindentally)(curiousity killed the cat and what else is a cat? a chirithy) that was housing the leftover darkness( the persona of darkness aka vanitas) that could no longer fit his vessel of light and darkness aka Ventus the vessel and in return the master of masters (the persona of light just like vanitas had a personality which could be possibly a future sora when he earns the title of master of masters bc he is pretty much the light itself)/ the heart would take its place, you know the saying the brighter the light the darker the shadow and in this case was very true which is why he never took off his cloak but even then Ventus the Vessel was starting to be affected by darkness which is why bad things were starting to happen in Backcover eventually the master would disappear meaning Luxu mustve opened it pretty quick in Union cross eventually leading into darker shit that officially doomed the timeline but still just hid it even after opening it bc he was scared the master was watching with his eye(which he probably wasnt as a way to deter his disciples from doing dumb shit) eventually passing down the keyblade to get rid of his own burden/guilt bc he opened the box even though the master told him not to, however he would tell someone to go look for the box which shouldnt have been possible bc it was hidden in a destroyed timeline he knows he fucked up and the master would be pissed, and now fast forward to the end of lost masters scene luxu is the traitor for opening the box

When I researched the origin of the Foretellers and how the same guy who spoke to Young Xehanort on the rock in Re:Mind is actually the Master of Masters who’s apprentices happen to be 6 individuals “Foretellers” and Luxu was the Goat animal hence the Keyblade Xehanort had the one with the goat head on it and it’s black THAT WAS GIVEN TO LUXU SO THAT’S ACTUALLY HIS KEYBLADE SO WHEN HE SAID BELIEVE ME I AM WORTHY HE WASNT KIDDING MY MIND IS BOGGLED SEVERAL PLACES OH WHAT A STORY LOVE IT ALL MASTER OF MASTERS IS THE LEADER BEHIND FORETELLERS LUXU USED TO HAVE A BLACK GOAT MASK WHEN HE WAS WITH THEM BEFORE HE WENT UNDERCOVER AND MY GUESS WAS IT WAS AN ORDER BY MASTER OF MASTERS OR IT COULD BE THAT HE CHASED HIS KEYBLADE AND WAITED FOR XEHANORT TO PERISH OR TO SEE HOW THINGS PLAYED OUT IDK BUT ITS AWESOME LUXU IS REALLY XIGBAR?
