And honestly, a confusion potion would actually be a really cool addition. When an entity has the Confusion effect, it will mistake mobs for other mobs, attacking those that it otherwise wouldn't and vice versa. Iron Golems may attack passive mobs, Zombies might attack each other, Wither Skeletons may ignore players until attacked, etc.

Theres a mod called Icarus, it basically ads new elytras(wings) on one Hand but the movement from the Barrel Roll mod on the other Hand but in a way less nauseating way. I can only recommend everyone to give it a shot, it makes flying with Elytras so much more fun(you can fly upside down, sideways etc.) plus the mod adds a lot of improvments like flying Costs Hunger and If you wear armor you fly slower.

I put some thought into this, and imo a good definition of cheating is when you have a group of players who have collectively agreed on rules, and one (or more) goes and violates those rules. It can get a little more complex than that... for example the game devs set the rules and if you're on an official server even if a bunch of players come together and want to RP,, that's not the rules of the server and if someone rolls through and blows them all up that's not cheating. A private server run by those players would be a different matter. But yeah if you just have a single player... it is not possible to cheat. Just to set your own rules. Though if you introduce multiplayer/social elements like achievements and leaderboards cheating is then possible because you have interactions with other users who, again, are largely agreeing to be bound by the game rules set by the devs for those achievements and leaderboards.

Unintended way of playing, especially using commands does technically equal cheating. You could say the same for redstone automatic farms and other things in the game too, even if many people do it. Personally I think keep inventory is more fun than standard minecraft, I'm plenty good at the game to play without, but it is just more fun to charge straight into the fray of combat without having to worry about losing my items. (Most of the time if I die it is because I got snuck up on or swarmed by like 4 piglin brutes at the same time.)
