He was spouting a load of pish from tabloid newspapers about prisons in the UK being like hotels. I don't let the charming accent sway me, he's a silly old boomer. Totally uninformed nonsense, many of the prisons in the UK are absolutely brutal, underfunded, horrendous conditions etc. which have been criticised by human rights groups, EU organisations etc. People have managed to avoid extradition to the UK from countries like Germany because of the state of the prisons here being so inhumane.

Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view. This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time.’ "If people let the con artists, I mean ‘scientists’, ‘experts’, professional liars, satan worshiping pedo-cannibals decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny." - Thomas Jefferson “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. @@nigelfitzjohn5412 they don't have sky, they don't get 3 hot meals a day. Many prisons have rats and spiders. Many prisoners get beaten. The cells are tiny compared to Mexican cells. Prisons are about rehabilitation, not punishment. You get punished by losing your freedom, seeing people around you suffer and for you to suffer by being alone. Putting criminals together on a wing causes so many issues which is also the punishment side. Until you've been in one, don't make assumptions.

To be honest there's not much threat in actually being sent to prison these day's, a lot of them get a far better life inside, than they do on the outside, so many will do as much as they can to get back in, It's such an easy life, No bills, Heating paid for, Electric paid for, no responsibility, someone doing everything for you, clean clothes, showers, 3 Square meals a day, every luxury item you could think of, Phone's, PlayStation's, TV's, Gym, education, libraries, when most of your local one's have been shut down, All that at a time when many of us struggle week to week just to keep the bills paid, and buy food to eat, many time's it's a toss up which one of these you choose 😣 So it's US out here that's struggling with a hard life, Those lot have thing's easy, The whole system is bullshit 😒 all this "Human Rights" crap now means they are better off, And they say "Crime doesn't pay"!! I'd be inclined to disagree 🤬🤬

I was unfortunate enough to be incarcerated 23 years ago, and it was very easy then, pre 1990s with the overcrowding, no electric evil screws and slopping out was when it was bad.

@@villain-ek3yv Just imagine how easy they now have it, when the officer's hands are tied with bullshit beauocracy and do gooders controlling all this "Human Rights" crap!! 🤬🤬 They can absolutely do anything they want, and they certainly do🤬 It's more like going to a holiday camp now than doing a prison sentence

It’s the best prison I’ve been to also the food is well sorted, the exercise yard is protected with a massive fishnet covering to stop helicopter escapes.
