How can one not like a real ship. If I am not mistaken it is now a museum ship on the Thames. One of the very few in all of Europe. I have played it and found it fun. Unless that is, you accidentally get detected in open water, then it is goodnight Irene. All of my matches so far I have been low tier, so ifhe is very helpful. I did change my build up from your’s. I forgo EL, and take PM instead. I round it out with JOAT, EM, AR, SUPER, IFHE and CE. If I didn’t take IFHE, I would certainly take RL, as I have that on most my Cruisers, but just didn’t want to give up two, tier two skills. On the equipment side everything is the same but I take ASM1 instead of MBM2. My thought being anecdotally, that if I just get one more shell on a dd or ca per volley, with the long reload, it might make a difference. As always a great video. Update: After playing it more, its one of the few ships that I can say when in battle, I wish I was playing the Cheshire instead! Ouch.

like for the content, comment for the algorithm. seriously though I don't see what the big deal about Belfast ever was. Cool, so she had radar. Know what she didn't have? A heal! I've lost track of how many I've blapped Belfasts with heavy cruisers because they thought smokescreens make them invincible. It's nice to see a more balanced iteration making its way back into the game. Players seem to like the Belfast. This ought to see well enough.

Ok, if it is like Edinburgh, the ship is not for me. I hated Edinburgh for the low rate of fire and non-existing armor. Radar is nice but I'm not ready to give up a standard smoke for Radar and a Creeping Smoke. I'd rather have a high rate of fire with low alpha, than high alpha with low rate of fire when I'm playing cruiser. Thanks for the review!

Hey Axillent, I feel the Edinburgh has an excellent RoF (7.5s), and she's no less squishy than the original Belfast or other Royal Navy light cruisers. But I definitely get that the RN light cruiser play style can be an acquired taste. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!

If you build for smoke, it is almost playable. Increase action area of smoke Cap Skill, Increased Action Time Upgrade, Increased duration of smoke flag, Faster consumable reload flag. MM is the biggest killer to this ship, couple that with nerfed reload and essentially no AA on a WWII Era CL... typical WG. Solid regret in purchasing.

Hi Charles: I'm sorry you regret the purchase. Did you make you purchase before or after seeing reviews? Playing an RN CL with limited/no smoke requires patience and very good situational awareness. As a cruiser main, my biggest issue with her isn't the limited smoke but her mediocre RoF and AA for tier VIII. In any event, thank you for stopping by the channel and sharing your thoughts-it means a lot.

i did not get your point about IFHE ...so vs tier 9 and 10 ..if our geal only dd's and cl we do not take it ,,i think there is no game out of bb's :) so we should take it any way ...other point we do not need smoke expect ?? or survivability expert to give her more HP ??

@@benjaxalo8698 all Belfast versions has no heal option mate ...even the og Belfast t 7 has not ..that will be a bad joke .the sister ship for her same tier the Edinburgh and u need to chose btw radar or smoke and you have heal option but you fire AP only .with this virion 43 you have rader and smoke and torpedo and both AP&HE ..you want heal option too !!! what else left to control the game :)

Hi Ossama, it depends on how you play. I know some players who prefer IFHE and others who do not. I expect most would take IFHE. Survivability Expert is an option, but without Repair Party, the value is quite limited IMO (increase in HP equates to only one pen or 2-3 overpens from a battleship).

Her biggest gain is her HE, and it's pretty good. Just slow. She loses the heal, which is a dealbreaker for me. Even a Fiji heal would have sufficed, but no heal in a British cruiser? I understand the AP nerf, she has good HE. No hydro, which sucks a lot. The radar/smoke gimmick has been nerfed almost to death. All in all, she seems balanced and does not really powercreep the Edinburgh, which I prefer over this.

The original Belfast doesn't have Repair Party, either, so I don't see that as a "loss". Nor is the AP nerfed; it's the same as on the original Belfast. The DPM difference, however, is significant. I expect this will be by far and away the biggest issue for players familiar with the original Belfast.

@@aniolairghorm You are right, I am comparing this T8 ship to the Edinburgh exclusively, my bad. I don't have the Belfast, would love to but probably never gonna happen. And I am not really interested in this one. ;) Love the whole UK CL line, certainly from Leander and up, and one of the reasons is the heal. Great review by the way!

Hi Todd, yes, there are embargo rules which we we honor. WG sets the date and time when the embargo lifts on a new ship, which has been reached for the Belfast '43.

Based on the most recent pay-for premiums, WG has made the ships available for purchase the day after reviews start being posted. WG hasn't told me expressly, so I don't know for sure, but given that tomorrow is Friday...
