HMS Courageous 3D Scan Video - 04 May, 2023

This is a video made from the 3D Matterport scans taken whilst onboard the Cold War nuclear submarine, HMS Courageous, moored alongside in No. 3 Basin at HM Naval Base, Devonport. The video shows a "walkthrough" of the scanning results on all 3 decks. Some areas were inaccessible due to cramped spaces, but these have been captured using 360 photography and will be added later. Only the forward interior areas are shown, as it was not permitted to venture aft of the bulkhead hatch to the "tunnel" over the reactor space. This project builds on an earlier one, where a simple VR model of the submarine hull was merged with 360 images (see: • HMS Courageous (SSN) E... ).
