That orangutan baby doll is the stuff of nightmares

Back in 1974 I went to a friend's Father's house. She had told me not to mind the mess. I had no idea what we were walking into.A House filled with newspapers! You could not see any of the walls - just piles and piles of every local newspaper in our area!! Every room we were surrounded by piles of newspapers! We had a Really nice visit with her Dad. He just had a thing about collecting newspapers.

Richard looks very unwell. His colour is terrible 😞

It's interesting, my dad was the same way , he collected newspapers. Once we had a printer, he printed and saved news articles. His aunt (my great aunt) was the same, she had newspapers all over her living room.

Whenever I declutter something, I like to sort everything into categories first, and then pick out what I want from each category and donate whatever's left over. For instance, if I was doing my closet, I'd separate my summer shirts, winter shirts, pants, etc, and spread each category out so I could see exactly what I had. It works really well for me. I couldn't just pick up one item out of a big messy pile without knowing what else I had before making a decision about it. No wonder these people look so confused when they're sorting through their stuff. I'd feel the same way doing it like that.

That's how Marie Kondo does it. When you see that you have duplicates and triplicates, or even one's you don't use then it's easier. One woman I read about had a red Christmas patterned plate for cookies which she used every year but she still donated it because she said that if she didn't have it she had many other plates that she could use instead! Basically she'd rather have a little more room in her house and that is to be applauded!

I am so glad I am a purger, much to my detriment sometimes! My husband of 44 years passed in December, if I reacted like this my home would be full up. I hate a mess, I couldn’t live like this.

I understand to a point of their hoarding as I started to hoard, buying stupid things after my Father and sister died, I’m glad I woke up because I would truely hate for my home to be a danger with stuff piled everywhere. But I will never understand anyone allowing their home to get to a point where you are walking over rubbish.

The common denominator with these hoarders is that none of them are house proud. I couldn’t imagine sitting on some of the filthy sofas…….and as for the carpets, who knows what is living in them?!

So jealous on some of her dolls. Some gorgeous ones. Im glad she kept most. The actress was gorgeous and i really loved her ways. The archivist needs to sell and dehoard the rest. I hope he will.

So if it's stuff you like, dolls....keep....if it's stuff you don't like, it needs to be dehoarded? Kinda the same situation these people are in.

get rid of those disgusting dolls, and those newspapers are heavy and if they don't burn they'll break through the floors soon...

I find Tritia delightfully eccentric. I hope she manages to stay on the straight and narrow. She deserves to have a lovely home.

Every time looking at these series i’m thinking: where do they get the money from? Many of these people are quite old and can get pension i get it (but even then is being shopaholic affordable enough?) but some others who are in their 40s and constantly staying around? They gotta pay their house bills, food, and a whole ton of clutter, I can’t get over this how people are wasting their lifetime and valuable resources (it’s their lives and they’re free to do whatever, right, but it feels sad)

В начале просто ШОК 😱😱😱и какая красота (хоть немного относительная) но всё же уже похоже на желаю квартиру а не бомжатник.👍👍👍😄

There's something very creepy about old dolls *shudders* & more useless than cushions on the bed. I'm early in but I bet it turns out the husband is a hoarder too. Probably his newspapers: Nope that's another fresh Hell. Madness.

Many of us have lost loved ones, had broken relationships and health issues but we don't all hoard; I think the compulsive to hoard is always there.
