YEAH, but you missed most of the interesting places of the island ; San Antonio de Lisboa - NW island- Portuguese area Canasvieiras and Ingleses , Rio Vermilho- north tip of island where most people live (like me !) Barra de Lagoa- outlet of the lake to the Atlantic ocean, lots of seafood and bars Believe that restaurant you went to is the iconic one on the very southern tip of the island at the end of the highway. Since 25 years ago has always been a real touristy gringo ripoff restaurant. Lot of fishermen along that beach area where they land their boats CENTRO - most concentrated shopping area on the island, always jammed with people shopping or just having a good time. Floripa does not get freezing cold but COOL, and warms up nicely in the summer but the beaches are still relatively cold unless you are from Argentina or Uruguay , the water seems WARM to them

Sul da Ilha é complicado. É sempre frio, nublado e depressivo. As praias do sul e leste da ilha tb é complicado: as águas são geladas, não dá p cair na água. Vc vai tremer e bater queixo de tanto frio!!! Eu? Vou somente nas praias do Norte e Nordeste da Ilha, porque as águas são consideravelmente mais quentes.

the state of Santa Catarina is the best state in Latin America without a doubt, it is home to several important companies at an international level such as WEG and BRF (owner of Sadia, Perdigão, etc.), in addition to being the center of tech startups in Brazil surpassing São Paulo. It has very beautiful colonial cities with a high HDI, large theme parks, and well-organized and clean beaches, apart from the lifestyle in contact with nature. I've already researched almost a hundred cities and all the states of Latin American countries, and none of them have this kind of combination between having a great economic potential combined with a healthy lifestyle and in contact with nature.
