One thing you said that Brazil is a "developed country", I have never thought about that and it is very true. Certainly not the richest developed country in the world but still a developed country. Great observation!

I'm glad I found this channel recently. This was an awesome video. I'm considering a move to somewhere different for many reasons and Brazil is definitely on my consideration list. My two main concerns about Brazil on the list is safety and earning potential with not having a remote working job. Other places on my list of potentials are Spain, Dubai and Queensland, Australia. I'm from Scotland for context, and main reason for the move is the weather here sucks.

Very Good morning, Dear Mr Jamies :) Kindly here, with permission. Nice to meet You! Please, if there are possibility sure, try understand, my main idea and this proposal (both sides have the great oportunity). Well, seeing everything what's occurring in these days, I'm going to be completely direct here, it's been 23 years following nibiru and its consequences, I own a type of farm here and I work alone, with agriculture and fish farming and also like make my time with wood crafts. But I don't have a team, there's a lack of people interested in living here, investing and working together. in a very large area, a lot of nature, water, more than 40 different fruits and without any violence, this great place is located in the interior of the city of Manaus, in the Amazon, I invite you and whoever You can indicate me, to live here... I live with my wife and daughter, it's been 8 years, I'm 53 years old and I'm a systems analyst, I'm here waiting for the doons day"D", I know that according to all the reports of solar activity, volcanoes and earthquakes, there's little left and so, I'm accompanying a nibiru progress simulator , for perigee prediction in APRIL/2023. The invitation is done. I want to create infrastructure and a sustainable community. But people and money are lacking. I can answer your questions, please look for me, here we have more chances, right? See you soon, I await your return. Thanks. if do you have, more friends interestingin work of this area, can you invite them too... Waiting Your things! Sincerely Help... WELCOME !!! :) Best regards!

Everything you said was correct. But you forgot to mention one of my top favorites of Brazil--- the MUSIC! I love "pagode, farro, boi bumba (from the Amazon), and so much more. And Brazilian guitar is amazing. I'll sing a song for you...."Voce viu, so que amor, nunca vi coisa assim....E passou, nem parou, mas olhou sou pra mim..." (Samba de Verao) :-)

A little late to the party but about the English and Spanish speakers, particularly in Florianópolis it is more common due to the city is a huge destination for tourists from Argentina, Uruguay and Chile (but other countries too). So people in general is used to Spanish and English too as a means to easy the communication.

Telling us the exchange rate doesn't really say anything regarding prices. For some reasons Brazilians always bring up the exchange rate, as if it says something in and of itself. It doesn't. One dollar is 138 yen. That doesn't mean Japan is cheap.
@TechDaddyFr2 жыл бұрын
I disagree on one point: I spent 1 year in Salvador and met 3 people who could have a basic conversation in English (yes, 3 in the whole year). Maybe if you go in Rio or SP, you will meet more people speaking English. Even in Salvador, when I arrived and didn't speak Portuguese yet, it was impossible to make myself understood by people in an airport ... people who are supposed to meet tourists and all kinds of foreigners every day. The reason might be that Salvador is mainly a touristic destination for Brazilians, where Rio and SP attract more foreigners. Their second language usually is Spanish.
@nolimit.nomads2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Depends on where you go in Brazil. Southeast and the South have a much higher number of English speakers. We certainly like that region best as well and always recommend it the most for tourists (especially Floripa), even though I (Ali) am from the northeast - Fortaleza 😊

interesting. I want to visit this country now. I heard Fortaleza is very developed, but dagerous in the statistics. Floripa is of course safest city according to stats together with BAlneario Camboreu. Which city would you recommend with developed infratstructure and beaches?
@nolimit.nomads3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ilja, DEFINITELY Floripa! It's actually a city we still consider settling down fin the future after our years of travel. It has great infrastructure, healthcare, people, services and products, BEAUTIFUL nature, and it's less expensive than Balneario Camburu. Ali is actually from Fortaleza and though we like to visit there, we wouldn't live it there, mainly for safety and infrastuture reasons as you said! We also have a video comparing cost of living in Brazil (Floripa) and USA (San Diego), if you're interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rp6kiXmOnr6Gnrs

Brasilians are embarrassed to try to speak English BUT if you attempt to talk to them, they will go ahead and speak the english they can. You would surprised how well they speak. High english here in Floripa vs the north Climate is GOOD in the summer BUT winter is not fun here. Goes down to lows 50f. The ocean is COLD all year here. For someone who is from Florida, I am used to 80f gulf water, so this is way too cold for me. It's a deal killer for me. Have lived in the north (Recife, Joao Pessoa) and didn't have this problem. Plan to buy another apto back up in the north

I am considering going abroad to Brazil but I heard it’s one of the top three countries that are dangerous to women. As a woman who has experienced both the US and Brazil, do you think it’s true? Coming from a woman that’s going to travel alone.
@nolimit.nomads3 жыл бұрын
Hi there - I sincerely do NOT think Brazil should be in the top 3 for danger to women. I've lived and visited many places around the country and did not feel unsafe often. With that being said, there are definitely areas that are not safe for both men and women, and of course, if you're a woman, you seem more vulnerable to criminals. I will also add that the south f Brazil is my very favorite area not only for being the safest part of the country but also for the nature, weather, people and development cities. We recored this video in Florianápolis and that is definitely a destination I felt extremely safe in!

There are about 1.4 million Brazilian refugees living in the USA, it won't be more than that.
@efxnews47763 жыл бұрын
@@pradeep128 they aren't refugee's... Half of the are at least legally. The other half are illegally, but don't think they are poor in Brazil, do you have any idea how much cost a passage from Brazil to US? It isn't cheap... Those brazilians either have business in US or are there after better opportunities, and by the way, it's a dumb choice that a brazilian that could very well make a pretty decent living here, would go to US to clean toilets there just to broke their backs and come back to Brazil to treat itself with pur free healthcare system... Many brazilians who went to US, are now coming back or are going to Canada, Australia or Europe looking for better opportunities. In facat i belive theres far more brazilians in Europe than anywhere else, especially in Portugal or Italy.

These folks are young and romantic. I lived in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil for 24 years (1997-2021). I taught Brazilian doctors (and other professionals) English for a living. Over the years, I probably taught more than 2000 doctors. Yes, PRIVATE medicine ("particular") in Brazil is excellent and relatively inexpensive. Yet, I don't know even ONE doctor who does not pay A LOT for PRIVATE healthcare insurance so as to avoid EVER having to go to the SUS (public) healthcare system... and many of them work as doctors in that very system. For the past 10 years, I've told people, "When I first came to Brazil it was a little dirty, a little dangerous, but a LOT of fun. These days, it's very dirty, EXTREMELY dangerous, and NO fun." Other than seeing a few lovely beaches and tropical forest (Mata Atlantica), there's little to actually do. With Lei Seca (if you drink a drop of beer or wine and drive 100 meters, you are literally a criminal... and road blocks where you are required to blow into a breath-analysis device ("Blitz Lei Seca") are all over the place and create traffic jams. This law has decimated bars ("barzinhos") and nightlife throughout the land. Sao Paulo (especially Centro) is a filthy, graffiti-ridden, drug infested mess. Other than one or two views, Rio is hardly the picture postcard it was many years ago. Look... I don't know much about Florianopolis, but the tropical cities in the Northeast are dangerous (thieves, robbers, and killers steal, rob, and kill with near impunity. Know that the average effective sentence of one of the only 5% (!) of murders that results in justice (i.e. a conviction) is roughly EIGHT years). Look... again... I lived in Brazil nearly a quarter century. If I had the opportunity to bet, I'd give odds that these kids will NOT be living in Brazil 10 years after making this video. They'll be back in Cincinnati. I wish it were otherwise (as it once was), but Brazil is NOT a place to live anymore and if you can live in Europe or the USA it's preferable. My MANY Brazilian friends, wife, and relatives, ALL agree with that statement. These kids will be mugged (literally and figuratively) by reality soon enough. JMO.
