Hobbii Yarn Review

I've ordered a few times from Hobbii and I've been happy each time. The prices are reasonable, you can get free shipping (if you order enough!) and the quality of the yarns is super. Great customer service, too. Amy: your shawl and sweater are gorgeous. What you said about waiting to see the finished product, about not judging things too early made perfect sense. We have to be somewhat adventurous in choosing colors/yarns/combinations ... I think it's part of the fun (at least for me). Lovely episode ❤

Amy I love the colors you chose for your shawl & sweater, superb! They both look amazing. So nice to hear about this yarn and how you felt about using it and how it feels. I'm always aprehensive to order yarn from so far away with shipping costs etc. It's always nice to find something local, but so fun to try new yarns as well. I’ve ordered yarn from Hobbii 3 times in the past year. As I am in Arizona, I ordered cottons and cotton blends; all have been higher quality yarn than I expected considering the price. I particularly like their cotton called Twister.

Thank youfor reviewing these yarns. It’s a really original thing to see, someone pricing the yarn for a beautiful project. A nice change, when yarn is becoming more and more eye wateringly expensive. You certainly have an eye for colour and I shall be looking more closely at the hobbii website from now on.

Thank you for taking the time to knit such lovely projects with these yarns. So often with these reviews I see people talk about the yarns straight out of the box of they have made a tiny Swatch and I feel like you just don't get a feel for how the yarn behaves when worked up.

The color of your Pink Fizz is absolutely gorgeous! I've only ever used Hobbii's Tweed Delight but this makes me want to check out some more of their natural fiber yarns. Thank you for another great video ❤

Interesting…. I had never heard of Hobbii yarn until I met a knitter who used it. My first impression was “synthetic “ yarn. So nice to see that they have many qualities and types of yarn. I really really don’t like the name of their company. I am always trying to elevate the “art” of knitting and I feel their name just brings it knitting back down to a “pastime “ 😢

Like others have mentioned, I thought this company was more of a craft store and would only be selling acrylic yarns for toy making etc. I think the name suggests this, rather than being stockists of the kind of yarn you found there. After you previously mentioned that you were going to be doing this review, I checked them out and joined their mailing list. However, I was so bombarded with emails that I very quickly unsubscribed. I just felt that they were far too pushy, but maybe that’s just me being old! 👵🏻 Both the items you knitted are beautiful though, and it was interesting to hear your review.
