Great looking release! Brushless Hobbywing setup, 3s included, less slop in the drivetrain, added brass, stock rear underdrive - all major upgrades in my book. The bright wheels kind look toy grade, but the fact they're beadlock with brass rims is actually pretty cool, imo. Well done Hobby Plus!

Awesome video Matt! Haven’t gotten a new truck in awhile and this may be what I’ve been waiting for. Glad to see that this one is a single speed trans as I don’t really care for a 2 speed in a dedicated comp style crawler, also nice to see them switch things up by putting the hobby wing system in there. It was cool to see the foam course again as well, thanks again and have a good one 🤙🏽

That is 150% the best performing retro money can buy in the 1/24 or 1/18 space. I gave up on the last gen for 1 reason in comps and it was the drive line slop. Blew a lot of gates because of that. This looks worth exploring again. Look way better out of box.

Looks good. Wonder how long it'll be before it's available over in the UK in some form. Decent shocks, brushless setup, performance out of the box, all for a pretty decent price. I kinda prefer a less comp style generally, but the idea of grabbing one of these and being able run smaller wheels/different body and have all that hardware for when you want it definitely appeals. Great to see how little slack there is compared to many other small crawlers right now.

Man, that little thing kinda kicks ass, huh? Can't believe how capable the RTR's are these days. I remember getting my scx24 c10 when the first came out. First time out with it and I thought "huh....this kinda sucks" 😂 Now I gotta decide between this and the new HPI.
@77surefire3 сағат бұрын
They are totally different beasts but are similar in price (brushless HPI $199). I was interested in HPI & then was leaning towards Redcat Ascent and now this. HPI looks very scale, love the halogen looking headlights and additional lighting controls, detailed body and 2 speed is nice if you want to do trail trucking. This is obviously pure comp style and performance over everything. No working lights, performance body that allows massive tires and articulation but obviously doesn't look at all light a scale vehicle. Very different vehicles but both the HPI and this both look amazing.

I purchased one scx24 and built it up. The other 10-15 I have I’ve built. I recently picked up the redcat scout ascent since I wanted the body and heard good things about them out the box. It’s really disappointing out the box and wish I would’ve waited for this. For the extra 30-40$. This seems way better vehicle. Again I build most mine. So maybe unfair comparisons. But may grab one of these hobbyplus rigs. We’ll see, have had really poor luck with anything furitek built. Motors and escs yes, have been good. Their RTRs have been straight garbage in build quality. Plus their warranty is some of the worst around is you’re not a KZbinr
