Back in 2014 I told HH they should add Safe to all their planes, and now look. I still want them to bring back the Mosquito with Safe technology. Maybe you can ask them.

Well presented with great info. I have just ordered the RETF. I have many aircraft, mainly E-Flite but the value is in the battery & portable charger. I will sell the radio allowing me to get the smart battery & Field charger virtually for free. In Australia A$380 ($275 US) for RTF

@@TheTechBuyersGuru Particularly since every plane seems to be different... Sport Cub S2 I could bind directly without doing anything special, Apprentice: you need to push a button on the receiver, AeroScout: you need to connect the bind plug to the bind cable... in an easy glider I installed another spectrum receiver and there you push a button on top of that receiver... 4 models, 4 ways of binding the plane... stupid really.

did you program the plane parameters into the transmitter manually, or do you do download it to the tx with with a usb cable or something?
@tonysaltikov6012
@tonysaltikov6012 4 жыл бұрын
You should include how to set up the three flight modes on the DX6. How to assign the correct switch. The manual tells how to do it, but how do you check that is working correctly.

Hey Sidney, glad you liked the video. The best low-cost 6-channel radio for this plane is the Spektrum DXE. The great thing about this particular plane is that Horizon Hobby sells it as a Ready-to-Fly kit with the DXE radio, 3S battery, and charger. Here's the link to the combo kit: amzn.to/2KuWj3Q. The DXE radio alone sells for $70 and the battery is $30, but the whole combo kit only costs an extra $50, so it's a huge discount. And you can actually use the radio with other planes as you build your collection.

Do the servo wire colour have to align you did not say/show? Makes people think they can plug in anyway will be good??
@TheTechBuyersGuru
@TheTechBuyersGuru 4 жыл бұрын
Of course, like any servo, it has to be connected correctly. Dark-to-dark leads and light-to-light leads. In my model, that meant brown to black and yellow to white. Unfortunately, the RC industry uses multiple standards for power leads, which is a big problem, but the basic rule I state above holds true.

Could this safely run on 4s ??? I'm seriously thinking of buying this for my first plane in 20yrs lol so yeah I'm a bit rusty so I think I should start with a plane like this one with beginer mode to get back in the air and hopefully land in one piece lol Great review 👍✌️

This is a great trainer, but it is not a stunt plane, and I don't think 4S is a good idea for it. It would fit, but it may throw off the balance. More importantly, however, the flight characteristics are not that aggressive, so if you're going for speed, it's not the right pick.

Is this for a beginner , in your option?
@TheTechBuyersGuru
@TheTechBuyersGuru 3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. It's really easy to fly, and due to the prop being in the back, minor crashes won't damage it. I actually find it easier to fly than much smaller UMX planes. Just one thing to note: it does require a pretty long runway to take off, as the lift is not great due to the pusher design. The brand-new v2 was just released with updated electronics, and you can get it in a bind-n-fly version here for $150: amzn.to/32P92a2 Or with the entire setup (transmitter, battery, and charger) here for $205: amzn.to/3t0H1qy The bundle is truly an amazing deal, as the transmitter alone costs $100. If you don't already have gear, that is the way to go.

some info. at 1:57, you forgot to thank hz/hh for Not Using a Correct thrust Angle/line on this model. the thrust Line is Supposed to INTERSECT the model's c-m; center of mass. the c-m is Supposed to be located, Below twenty-five percent of chord. googletranslate static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/2/9/6/3/9/7/a5988257-224-bixler%202%20motor%20angle%20correction.jpg

So you're saying in a pusher design, the prop has to be mounted at an angle? What's the upshot? Instability or loss of power?
@daviddavids2884
@daviddavids2884 5 жыл бұрын
@@TheTechBuyersGuru the issue is, the use of an OFFSET thrust LINE. without the use of angular CORRECTION of an Offset thrust Line, ANY TIME throttle/thrust is Increased, a NOSE-DOWN moment will be produced. in other words, the nose will be, noticeably, PUSHED DOWN. years ago, some models were made CORRECTLY. then, manuf started making them WRONG. in such a situation, elevator inputs Will be necessary, in order to maintain a correct flight attitude. this nose-down moment will, however, ALWAYS be there. if a conventional airframe, such as a cessna 172, is considered, the thrust line Intersects the airframe's Center of Mass. in other words, the c-m is LOCATED ON THE THRUST LINE. achieving a Correct c-m location is a Matter of Correct DESIGN. see linked illustration, in which the IDEAL location of c-m is indicated. cheers s3.amazonaws.com/assets.flitetest.com/article_images/medium/truecg-jpg_1384168691.jpg

@@daviddavids2884 You can thank HZ/HH for COMPENSATING for that issue by using an ELEVATOR with an INVERTED (upside down) airfoil. No nose down MOMENT, no elevator INPUT needed. Did you fail out of ENGINEER school or are you just to DENSE to research that? There are literally DOZENS of videos of people flying this EXACT plane with no MENTION of what you described. Cheers.

@@joshrandall3632 dear josh, you are an under-informed DIMWIT.!!!! why is this true.
