With a vision, a little imagination and the tools and materials to pull it off, you can catch just as many quality fish as the big CC guys and knock at least 2 zeros off the investment. Thanks for this video bro! I’ve been watching you and key west kayak to get some ideas. Can’t wait to start on mine. I have a 2020 camouflage compass. Installing my rear cross bar will be a little challenge cause the compass rear is a little slanted. I’m just waiting for my ama to arrive. 🤙🏽🎣

Really, really nice. Has anybody any experience or thoughts on making this same mod to a Hobie PA 14? I have the boonedox groovy landing gear in the back and think I could mount the back bar to the grooves in the cross bar. Still have to figure out the front. Anyone tried this?

Thanks. Yes PA14, PA12, outback, oasis, compass ive done it it all. Alot of us here in south florida have done this mod. You will need to cut the hobie AI crossbar and extend it or you can make your own crossbar and aka if your handy with a weld.

@@YakNinja Thank you. Unfortunately, I'm not handy with the weld! But if I'm not mistaken, it looks like both you and the Florida Fish Hunter use 2015 aka REAR cross bars on both the Front and Rear. Is it easier that way to mount on a PA 14? I also have seen the 2015 (V2) Akas go on the 2014 (V1) amas, I think because the 2014 amas are smaller and easier to manage. But then the 2015 V2 Akas are not a perfect fit for the 2014 V1 amas - have you had to make any adjustments for this and do you have any videos demosntrating the mod? I know FFH had one option, but I'm slow and would love a step by step demo, or an easier alterternative. Thank you.

Great video. I couldn't find part 2 is it up yet? I'm 215 and waffling between the revo 13 and outback for everything from marsh to offshore. How did you like the outback setup with an Ama?

Thanks Ken. I fishing the video then lost it. I started again hopefully it'll be done soon. With ama their both great kayaks just revo13 is a little more faster but considering your 215lb I would go outback for the leg room.

Nice Yak! I've been wanting to do the same on my Revolution 13, so I can bring my dog along. I can't seem to find who sells that outrigger kit since the Adventure Island is no longer available (as new). Any idea who'd have this kit? guessing Hobie. I haven't tried calling them yet not being sure what all I'd need if they could help. Thanks!!

I do'nt know which battery to go for the live well.. should i go for 20ah Battery? but I saw that you don't recommand using 20ah battery for the bilge pump in "DIY BRUTE 10 GALLON TRASH BIN LIVE BAIT WELL" so i'm little lost here

Do you think two people could fit on the Revo 11 with ama with a minimum of gear?

I dont think so. The weight capacity of the revo11 is 275lbs. Once you start to motor the back will dip and you'll take on water.

@@YakNinja For the transducer mount with the goop, do you ever have problems with it peeling off, or falling off from the transducer weight?

@@eksblenny nope never! For it to come off you will have to manually peel it off with some elbow grease.

@@YakNinja Hey I'm back with a few more questions! Do you think the crossbar itself could crack or break from the motor if you put the motor mount onto the crossbar? And where do you get the scotty adapters that you attached to the bottom of the motor mount (that connect to the scotty bases on the crossbar)?

@@eksblenny i seen guys mount the motor mount directly to the crossbar i wouldn't recommend it. The motor vibrates sitting far right pass the kayak putting more stress on the 4 bolts that hold the crossbar. Think of it like a toque wrench vibrating. Not to mention the stress from the ama as its hold the top weight of the kayak from flipping and getting smack. The mounts are from Pat R in California. You can also drill a hole in a middle of a 1x2 piece of wood and saw it down the middle.
