Great video Hajime. I saw some of your other videos and was wondering how you launched and where you launched out of. I'll be moving to Tokyo in January and want to bring my Hobie Tandem Island with me. Have you ever taken the kayak towards that area? If so, how one transport it around the city? Should I sell mine here and simply buy one when I get there or are the prices higher? My job would pay for all household transportation fees and I'm thinking of putting this think in as part of my goods. I have many questions and any information that you can help me out would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! ZEIDEN(^0^)/" You can entrust a transportation company with a task of moving the boat to the new address. Rather than that, moving it to a sailing point will be more problematic. Since the road traffic law in Japan is strict, the only means to carry a large kayak like Tandem Island is to mount it on the rooftop of a large car. If you want to use a Hobie trailer, you would need a special driving license in addition to obtaining a number of approvals from the authorities. Another possible option is to entrust the boat to a boat house of the nearest marina, though it would require some cost. I propose that you should search online for and consult with a shop named “marinebox100,” from which I have bought Tandem Island. Things may go smoothly if you mention “Hajime of Ogasawara.”

HAJIME K Wow, thank you for your time. You have been very helpful. I'll search for marinebox100. In the mean while i'll post my Tandem Island for sale. I'll be taking my vehicle with me to I'll start looking at the Adventure Island, but will not make any decision until I speak with someone from marinebox. I just purchased some new rods and reels and still have time to return them. Since most of my stuff is from Daiwa or Shimano, would you suggest I return them here and wait to purchase them in Japan? I'm talking specifically about the Daiwa Catalina/Isla and the Daiwa Saltiga 4000H.
