I have an 180 since 2017. Will be rocking for awhile. Will upgrade to the 360 when I feel it's time. Thanks for the video Kristine.

Love my PA 14 360, you're right about nothing else coming close! I also run a bow mount Minn Kota for those longer days on the lake. The guys at the Dugout are great! Had an issue with my 360 drive and Nick sorted me out and got a new one the next week. Love all your videos and keep up the great work!

I haven't been in a 360 but once, for just a couple minutes, but I did pick up a used PA14 a couple months back and absolutely love it, it's seriously crazy how much more comfortable and effective you are on the water from a Hobie...only upgrade I will ever make is a newer model or a 360!

I recommend 360! Can't go wrong with either. Both are amazing yaks! I've been kayak fishing from a Hobie pa12 for going on 7yrs now. Last summer I upgraded to PA12 360 & I can say it's amazing & once you go 360 it's hard to go back because manuverability is absolutely unchallenged. Positioning in wind current is sooo much easier. I had same conserns about durability & Hobie had told me same thing that they had the upgraded certain parts. Your already spending some coin so save extra penny's & get the 360 you won't regret it. The 14 is awesome too but the 12 works perfectly for me. & Buy a quality kayak cart when u get your yak

@@kristinefischer2289 I haven't been in anything besides my 360 sense I got it, thankfully... It changes the way we line and hold position on spots for our casts. Which you can't do in any other yak out there. But the 180 is still a beast & next best thing! I know you run Garmin's now for a while & have 2 graph's. I'm going be getting my electronics soon. I will have 1 unit & I plan to add the Lvs34. With 1 unit would you recommend a 10 or 12" echomap ultra?? Thanks for good vid & info. Good luck at next tournament

Great breakdown. If I was going to add a motor, I think the 180 would be fine, considering the pedal would be more of a back-up than primary propulsion.
@kristinefischer22892 жыл бұрын
Exactly that’s a great addition I wish I would had added to this vid - with a motor, the 180 wouldn’t be as different as the 360

Kristine, do you know what are the differences between a late model 2021 vs. 2022 in ppa14? The place where i am about to order my P14 has upgraded drives. But is there a difference inside those kayaks that makes a difference? Just not sure if i should just get the 2022 or take the savings of a late model 2021.. I called Hobie myself and the girl said just look for a late model 2021 and you should be good to go. I don't know about what is on the inside of those 2 and maybe a difference between the two. Your thoughts Thank you

I just can't believe the price jump over the last two years for Hobie across the board. I was wanting a pa12 180 to replace my 2017 OB but the $1K price jump for new in less than 2 years is just too much to swallow. Heck people are selling 2019s for more than they paid for them. Insane!

Yeah with the struggle with the 360 drive doesn't justify for the price that I had to pay. Should be way cheaper for such a pain in the butt drive, especially when you're out in the water and it fails! But other than that it is very cool but not reliable every time you get on the water

Motor is the way to go now. I have a peddle drive and but choose the motor kayak over it. 360 or 180 is nice but once you go motor, you will not go back to a peddle drive. Thats why most kayak anglers are installing trolling motors. If you want hobie, stick to the cheapest and put a motor on it or get the oldtown autopilot that comes with a motor.
@edgars007892 жыл бұрын
@@paoslee the only reason I prefer the hobie pro angler kayak is because of the space to put things in it. The old Town kayak autopilot I would go with the 136 but I'm a very poor young adult man. I wish you could help me get one
@jonyer19802 жыл бұрын
Maybe you're not aware about the issue on 360 Pedal Drive. If you ever break the sprocket(which will happen sooner or later after many miles of use) you'll have to replace the whole spine system which is 400$, an absolute rip-off. In former models it's only 30-40$.
