The video 'speaks' a thousand words. .no more fence sitting. It's the Lynx for me😍. Thanks for the video. I sub bro!

Thanks for the video. Many like myself are on the fence for offshore use so this is a great start. Thank you. 👍

Looks like it handled well going through the outer surf, even at an angle. Nicely done 💪💪💪

I wish that you would've used a regular lens instead of a fish eye lens especially with a new vessel. I would've liked to see what the waves were like and how the vessel handled it. Thank you for taking your time to record your adventure into the surf.

The waves were non existent. I will have the GoPro setup to record next time to give it a first person view perspective

I knew it would do well on Surf heck it is basically a surf board with fins. I love this kayak.

Great video. I'm still on the fence.. I go out to the rigs sometimes as well as the marshes.. I wish it was 12' long and not sure how the hull will hold up against oyster rash...
@subyawd3 жыл бұрын
I felt the same way as far as length but honestly I think it’ll work. I plan on fishing in southern Florida where the ledge is much closer. The width is two inches shorter than the PA so stability shouldn’t be an issue, just a more wet ride. As for the oyster rash, I haven’t fished in areas with it but I believe others have said it’s not as durable as the polyethylene made kayaks. I’m sure a company will have something in the works as far as guard for the bottom

Love the weight of the lynx, seems like the way to go for inshore fishing. in the mean time I'm still hauling around the pdl predator. its twice the weight. Great video dude!
@subyawd3 жыл бұрын
My PA is also more than double the weight so it’s nice to have something light for a change. It’s definitely much better inshore
@liamgarvey333 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm also hauling around my Predator, so having a light weight option for decent seas is attractive, but it looks like the Lynx can handle pretty much anything and you wont necessarily get that wet either. I like the idea I can go offshore or lake on the same day without breaking my back. Still would use my Predator PDL for hardcore offshore, but the Lynx definitely looks like the perfect companion Kayak.

Looked fun! In your opinion, how did the Lynx perform overall for what you got it for? Any negatives?
@subyawd3 жыл бұрын
Overall, much better than I expected. Definitely a lot more water over the bow but that’s to be expected on this platform. As for negatives, couldn’t find any, I do wish it was 12’ long lol

I have 2 Lynx's, this platform is really stable. You'd have to be fairly uncoordinated to fall over.
@dmnguye693 жыл бұрын
Not sure how strong the currents out there are but did you feel that the lynx was easily pushed by currents/winds, etc? Also what do you think about it being stable offshore? I didn't see a lot of big/short swells.
@subyawd3 жыл бұрын
It is easily pushed by wind/current but it’s quickly corrected by continuing to pedal. Much less effort than other yaks due to its weight. I still have a lot more energy at the end of my fishing trips compared to the heavier kayaks
@subyawd3 жыл бұрын
As for its stability, it’s a lot more stable than it looks. I didn’t include the boat wakes when I was out there but it took it just fine like the pro angler and outback.

Where did you get the H Rails? Also Fish Eye is awful...but looks like it handles well?
@richardcorio83363 жыл бұрын
You can get the H rails from your Hobie dealer I have them, they work great.

surprised you dont leash your drive? Are you not worried about flipping and losing it in the surf?
@subyawd3 жыл бұрын
I clipped the leash to the lynx in the beginning. I learned years back the importance of having one by almost losing it in the surf lol
