You should get a kayak trolley such as the C Tug Railblazer kayak Cart so you don't have to strip it down before moving to and from water

Definitely. Especially when the parked vehicle is far from the launch site. I have Hobie standard cart on back order. I was hoping it would arrive on time for the weekend but maybe one more week of lugging around the gear 😄

How does it handle medium chop or boat wake moving forward? I've heard that the front tends to get pushed left/right and slide down the wave instead of cutting through. Any truth to this in your experience?

Its definitely kayak/SUP hybrid and has tendencies of both in how it rides and how it handles. Although I never tried it offshore (prob dont intend to) it handled wake of boats passing by and a session on a 35km/h windy day pretty well.

Thanks James. The reasons for me were, the weight and flexibility for me to keep it simple or go fully loaded. When on kayak fishing I only fish the estuaries if you go coastal offshore Lynx is not for you. Water slapping is there as it is really a flat hull. Doesn’t bother me as I have been riding SUP for years. Hope that helps with your decision. Choosing between Outback and Lynx is a nice problem to have 😀

Its an Insta360 Go2. Ideal for quick snaps. Not good for continuous shoots. Very light and portable with great image stabilisation.

Do you still have your lynx? How's your hull holding up? I heard the hull was this kayaks weakest point?

Yeah. Still have it. Primarily use it during the summer month down here in Aus. Holding up fine. If you treat it rough like a traditional kayak, you will damage it for sure. Treat it like a SUP or surfboard, you will be fine. I have keel guards to protect it during occasional shallow or beach launch. Its a great fishing platform. A perfect hybrid of SUP and kayak.

The dealer told me to put my straps under the h-rail because the h-rail would get messed up and bend

Yeah. I actually ended up doing exactly that as there was play and when strapped harder it was starting to bend the rail. Rather than under the rails I used the straps further apart to tighten on the actual board.

cant decide between lynx and compass :(. where do you keep the battery on this thing? in the crate?

Lynx is the one to get if weight, stability and space is important to you. I use this battery from FPV. Aussie bunch with their fully sealed weather proof lithium batteries. It's small and light and don't require batt box. I simply place it in the seat back pocket.

@@JYLFishing thanks, im starting to feel like getting both lol. I'm in Australia, had a PA14 and a few FPV(they get wet very often without cover) , looking to downsize. I love the compass but like to lynx too :(. this gonna hurt
