I used to dog on Hobo Johnson years ago for no real reason at all. But as I've come to mature mentally, physically, and musically I can attest to say that I've spun a 180 completely. His music is some of the most genuinely authentic and separated sound I've listened too. The niche corner that it fits into is sometimes unparalleled with how emotional and completely vulnerable that it is. Hobo Johnson I hope that you can ignore all those that hate you which I'm sure you've grown to repell. But as you've always heard as I'm sure, keep going and keep creating. You're loved buddy

You're one in a million. At my age there comes an entertainer like you once every ten years. Maybe more . When my sister died in 2021 I heard your song I Want A Dog it struck a nerve for two reasons. The loss of my sister and I missed my dog when I moved back to Texas. Six months later he was back in my life and he's the greatest boy ever. I believe what he did and how he wouldn't listen to my ex was because he knew I was not in his life and I wasn't in his. He needed me as I needed him. I wish his sister could be with me too but that's another story.. This song also hit a nerve. It took me back when I would see my youngest's backpacks put up and they each told a story letting me see her grow into her own person. I still kinda do at times. You're a poet and wise beyond your years. And to be honest you're only of maybe six musicians that helped me recover from my sister's passing. Even though we were the epitome of sibling rivalry she was my first best friend and the yin to my yang. So I like to say thank you for helping me continue to recover when I need to hear your music for losing my sister. Keep working hard and making old guys like me like new music.
