Sam, just cut a piece of decorative paper slightly smaller than the COC and slip it inside and then put your weeks in. That way you can use whatever design you like and change it whenever you desire.

I have been binging hobonichi haul videos for 2 weeks now. I decided to get this one. I made my hobonichi purchase on Amazon. The Hobonichi store on Amazin had the same options as the website. Minus some covers. I'm excited to try this system for 2022. So far I'm loving the slim profile I see compared to my normal planner selections. Have a wonderful holiday season.

I canceled my order from Amazon for my 2023 weeks because it was taking so long. Ordered from JetPens and it will be here Monday. Feels like it's ages away! Ugh!! Maybe I need to try Amazon Japan one day.

The blue looks really beautiful! Always so interesting to hear different takes…I’m allllllll in this year and love several of the offerings. So much so my order is still on hold way overloaded whilst I try to let it sit and intentionally narrow down what I really want and what I can pass on….I’m struggling…..lol. Interestingly enough I was thinking to myself …”I’m really surprised Sam didn’t order the green leather” right when you addressed it…lol. Can’t wait for your take on planner peace video. Hobonichi has been my peace this year for certain and I don’t really expect that to change.

The color combo is gorgeous, but to each his own. You can always slip in a piece of decorative paper to have the exact shade you want. Maybe a vellum that could make it more neutral.

I think the blue looks great with your leather. I always get the regular weeks. I hope they get paper issue resolved and can keep it for next year. I have tried other planners and sizes but i have used the weeks for many years primary for everything. So easy to pick up and take with me.

I ordered the mega in yellow as it reminds me of summer and sunshine. I ordered a new clear cover as well - mine split along the bottom. First time with the mega... I'm excited. Should be here sometime this month.

I was in the same boat as you. There was one neutral, cinnamon brown color but not in the mega. I use the original weeks but everyone was sold out on the brownish one. I almost chose the navy one one you have. I really wanted the floral cover. So I ended up with a brighter one than I have ever had. I chose the teal blue one. I saw it pictured with the floral cover and fell in love. 💙 I just hope I feel that way when it gets here! 🙄

That combo with the sapphire weeks mega, nature weeks cover, leather cover, and pop of yellow in the flower along with the sarasa mustard yellow pen and the gold Lami.....whew!!! Its art!!! Beautiful colors, so satisfying. I hope you can adjust to it, because it's magic! Thanks for sharing

It’s my first year ordering a Hobonichi, so I ordered from a local EU store. My order was very small as well - just a cover + A6 planner. The shipping was free + no import tax. I will also order a Weeks for my work, since I know that weekly layout works the best for me and want to have in case the A6 layout doesn’t work for me.

Amazon Japan is my favorite way to order! So fast and quite a bit cheaper than the shipping from 1101. The shipping from Japan is far better than Amazon in the USA. Beautiful choice! 💙 blue + brown is so gorgeous together.

It’s funny, I ordered something from Amazon Japan and Amazon US same day. My US order was delayed and arrived 2 days late. Amazon Japan arrived two days early. Lol.

This Moomin weeks is the exception, since I did actually grow up being obsessed with Moomin like with nothing else, and even went to the Moomin theme park thingy in Finland with my family :)

Thanks for the video! I like your ideas and love all of your leather planner covers. I ordered the same color in mega weeks yesterday. I started to have 2nd thoughts but your video assured me I made the right choice. I too have tried their larger planners but the only one I have stuck with throughout the year is the weeks. I'm hoping to use the back pages for daily planning as needed but I'm not making any rules for my planning sytem. It is just too stressful.

Yeah I was certainly underwhelmed by this year's release. I ordered an A6 original, Liberty Fabrics Weeks, weeks cover on cover, one stencil. I didn't even buy a cover for my A6 original because there wasn't a cover that I liked enough. It's my first time ordering the Weeks, but I was hoping they would continue their botanical series from the past two years, and Liberty Fabrics one was I think the only one that caught my eye enough to want to purchase it.

Yes, that floral run was actually 3 years long, and as far as I could tell, very popular. Not sure why they would have stopped it.

I ordered from the 1101 website, only because Im going to try the a6 size planner with a cover to replace my b6 stalogy to use as a journal. I ordered a mega weeks for the first time in the “sunny blue” with the Season of hope cover on cover for both the weeks and the a6 so they could match. And yes! I agree about the selection this year, very limited.

Seeing as how I struggled with what Weeks to order, the selection was good for me. I have a Disney cover (from an Etsy shop) which I ordered a couple of years ago and the red Mega Weeks looks great in it. I use scrapbook paper to put over the cover of the Cousin and secure it with the clear cover on cover. I ordered the same pencil board! It’s even better looking in your video than on the 1101 site. I love the cover you chose. 💙 I've been using the 2021 Twinkle cover and I've really enjoyed it. I wanted a different color for 2022 but like you said the options aren't that great! I wasn't aware there was going to be another paper change. I know people said the 2021 paper was different from the 2020 paper. I really hope they don't change it a lot. 😣😭

I put a piece of paper between my cover on cover and my Weeks. That way I can have a collage of pictures, some quotes, Halloween theme, Christmas theme, etc. It makes it seasonal and fun.

I'm not a pen nut and all the faffing about with the paper isn't worth it when you just use any random biro (😱 yes, there, I said it!) that comes to hand. Sam, Mary’s comment below is probably your best bet. You could probably position the 2022 on it and print it on the card stock of your choice. I just watched a video by MashAyaVideo on Melodies Graphique shop in Paris (video starts with title of Antique Parisian Stationary Shop). They have some of the papers I love that are designed, I was thinking you could get something like that and put on your planner. Oh and I am now in love with the sidewalk pencil board, because on the site it looks pretty bland, in a video it comes more alive.

I was also underwhelmed with Hobonichi this year. I felt they invested too much in gimmicks and video game tie ins and ignored the fundamentals. I did get a Hobonichi Weeks in 'juicy grape ' as a gratitude journal. I had so much fun with it in 2020, despite it being...ya know....2020.😁
