Regarding your questions about Manly: Yes, Tom Trbojevic (or Turbo) is the guy you looked at recently. He hasn’t played much because he’s been cursed with injuries but back in 2021, Manly were coming last after the first 4 rounds and then Turbo came back and essentially got the team into the top 4 and just one week away from the Grand Final. He got the Dally M player of the year medal that year despite only playing about half of the season, that’s how good he was. Since then the injuries have prevented him from playing a full season and his impact on the side has probably decreased a little, but still a great player and one to watch. In terms of Ben Trbojevic, he’s still quite young so at this stage he isn’t better than his brothers but definitely could become better over the years. The Manly number 2 is Jason Saab who is one of, if not the fastest in the comp (it’s always debated). Another Manly player in the centres who is currently injured is Tolutau Koula, who is also one of the fastest in the comp.

Eliesa Katoa (Storm), Sione Katoa (Sharks) and Isaiya Katoa (Dolphins) are the current Katoas in the NRL. They are not related. Isaiya's brother Sione used to play for the Bulldogs & Panthers and is a different Sione Katoa to the one playing for the Sharks now.

Try July thank you. People mentioned it last week but I forgot what it was called. Good stuff.

Sharks jersey is a 90s retro replica. Original sponsor in those days was Reebok in the black writing. The red is not a sharks colour so I'm sure most of their fans hate it imposing itself on their colours.

Oh ok that's cool. Definitely a sweet jersey. And yeah I've been told about the red not being loved by Sharks fans. I just have a soft spot for a splash of red in a blue jersey.

@EamonnReacts I'm not sure if they're doing a retro round this year but some of the old jerseys are very cool. I'm particularly partial to the older designs. Simple striking colours without all the asymmetry and clutter.

Cronulla jersey is a throwback to their 1995 jersey

Apart from special occasions, there are usually two styles of jersey - when playing a home game, and when playing away from home.

cant wait for this origin decider. will be a good distraction from the disaster that is the broncos 😅

Number 2 in the Sea Eagles is name is Jason Saab, and he is one of the fastest players playing right now and yes, he is one of the starting wingers in the team

if youre not square at marker which means directly in front of and not off to either side of the player playing the ball you are offside and cant involve yourself until you get onside which is 10 metres back with the rest of your teammates. There can be max 2 markers after every tackle.

Turbo Tom Trbojevic has missed a lot of games due to injury, mostly hamstring, although pec/shoulder injuries have been a problem too.

The Broncos were literally in the grand final last year. This game had like 7 of the starters not avaliabe though and the only game in the last 6 that had some decent troops (except for the captain reynolds and one winger) was the penrith game, so couldn't win that one too.

That's wild. Such a huge falloff. Hopefully they can go on a little run to end the season and sneak in.

Hynes is still one of the sharks best players, he has just been down on confidence the past 2 months, this injury is a blessing in disguise so he can have some time off to clear his head and improve his game

Great point. Hope he can comeback stronger than ever. Was awesome seeing him play before he started having some down moments.

What team have u picked to support?
@EamonnReacts4 ай бұрын
Have yet to pick a team. Have a lot of teams I've enjoyed but haven't commit to one yet. I'm hoping to have one picked by the start of finals.

We don't really call grubbers and kicks a "pass," but don't listen to me. Call it whatever you want, ma bro 🫡
@EamonnReacts4 ай бұрын
I actually had a big realization about the grubbers and kicks in the origin game 3 watch party haha. I somehow missed rules about tackling guys out of bounds / into your own try zone to get possession back. So teams sometimes will kick/grubber it at the other team and then tackle them out of play and such. Not sure how I didn't realize this until now but yeah. Every game I watch I realize an obvious rule ha.

@EamonnReacts it's a learning curve 😅 also it's cool to see how similar rugby league/union is to ice hockey. The hits in hockey are fkn brutal 💀
