I recently came back to get in touch with the hockey sport culture, your channel and the weekly wrap-ups have been the BEST thing ever to happen to hockey for who's getting back after a long time or who's starting to like the sport, there's no place to get to know the players and the teams culture in a generalsense only here. Been 10 years since I've left canada so I didn't knew who's the best teams and player of the 2024 season or who are the new rookies worth being watched and you channel gave me all that information back in just a few videos. Thank You! TLDR: Your channel is a great service to the community, keep up the good work!

As a Pens fan, I have known for a long time that the dark days were coming back around...but it actually hurts more than I thought it would. I think what makes the pain so hard to deal with is the obvious love and passion that Sid still has for the game. If he hadn't already won three Cups, I would be absolutely begging for Dubas to ship him out of town to a contender. I still sometimes wish he would, even though it would feel so devastating to see Sid in any other sweater.
@doorgoo8 ай бұрын
I think next year has great potential with more cap space from losing a few dud contracts (looking at you Jeff, you aren’t useless but not worth 3 mil) but honestly we have one devastating factor… Malkin is playing like a washed up has-been. Letang has made a couple errors but overall has been great for his age. EK has shown plenty of life, and we don’t even need to talk about Sid. Plus, Mike Sullivan needs to switch shit up. EK needs to be used as the offensive weapon he is, and that power play needs to have some jagged edges
@LukeVenables8 ай бұрын
I'm not a particular Pens fan but even I don't really want to see Sid in another jersey. Some things just aren't right.
@severed1118 ай бұрын
@@doorgooMalkin since a few years works in streaks of awesomeness then he kinda disappears, the injuries from the last few seasons seem to bother him, but he's still decent, I'd take him with my Habs anytime, he can play until he's 42 afaik, don't forget also how Malkin stepped up when Sid was having his concussion shortened seasons (Steckel hit, Hedman hit, then a couple other seasons with just 20-30 games played, he would've had 300+ points more if it wasn't for that), Malkin got the MVP and a bunch of others. I noticed Sully has him playing on D in powerplay, which he used to do a lot 10 years ago, that has helped the PP to get working as of late. Don't despair yet, Pens aren't out of the playoffs at all, with the faltering Devils, meh Islanders and very meh Caps in front of em and the games in hand....if Jarry starts goaling like he was before his injury 2 years ago, which he almost is, 6 shutouts must be near top of the league, but then he also has horrible games, which he didn't back in 21-22 and before that since he got the number 1 spot. Cannot be more disappointed than last year when they had to win their 82nd and last game to make the playoffs, were winning it and lost, to a team who wasn't making the playoffs, that really p***** me off!
@ItsNystalgic8 ай бұрын
I hate the Pens with a passion however love the sport. Might make fun of the princess but there's no denying he was the best of that generation, imo 1000x better than Ovi. Pens should have honestly dropped Letang and Malkin, pick up young talent where they could to let Crosby teach them the game. Crosby has a great mind for hockey and is a play maker that could have taught someone young to maybe build a team around but alas they tried to go for another cup run and didn't toss bigger contracts.

As a Pens fan, seeing a 3-goal performance by depth scorers turn into a regulation loss is just laughable at this point. I'm waiting for the Geuntzel trade, and if Sidney Crosby does not resign at the end of his current contract, I don't blame him. The roster construction is failing him.
