Great video!! The Devils house in front of central park is two blocks away from where my parents live, I can’t believe I’ve never noticed it after all these years. I went to Whittier high which is down the street from there, that’s where they filmed the high school scenes in the 1st Back to the future (1985)

I didn't know til I was an adult the square used in Back To The Future was the same place used in Gremlins, on the Universal lot.

Now that you live in CA, you can do the Scream movie house experience if they bring it back this coming year from covid!! That and hocus pocus are the go-tos for me. So glad to see the locations from the west coast part of filming it rather than just MA sites

That was Fab, thank you. I grew up in Whittier before I moved back to England in 1984 but knew some of Hocus Pocus was filmed in Whittier, just didn't know where. The trees are called Jacaranda trees, they are gorgeous, we had 4 of them in our yard.

The purple blossoms are jacaranda and they'll be gone by mid June. Jacrandas are a beautiful tree in somebody else's yard.

Right? We had two out on the street side of our house and you NEVER want to park your car underneath one when they're in bloom! It's not so much the millions of purple flowers that can pile up on the car or all over the windshield, it's that HORRIBLE sticky nectar! You have to use HOT, HOT soapy water to cut through it because it can really be hard to see out the front windshield and especially at night!

The House used for Scream, Hocus Pocus and Catch me if you can, was also used for the Movie Matilda. It was Ms.Honey's house that principal Trunchbull stold from her when her dad passed away. So crazy.

Just watched Hocus Pocus to visit the filming locations you vlogged about in Whittier. So cool! I live in LA but have friends that live nearby these places. :) MacArthur's Park HP filming location was also used for the outside steps of When Harry Met Sally - Billy Crystal runs up and inside the steps (in NYC, not) after realizing he wants to spend the rest of his life with Sally.
