4. Discipline Without Hitting

Parents who can discipline their children without hitting use good strengths and courage to use different teaching techniques to their child. Discipline does not have to involve in Corporal punishment. Discipline involves connecting to verbal communication, positive and negative reinforcement, rewarding good behaviour and using logical consequences. Discipline takes practise and also confidence as well.

Have these studies controlled for genetic factors? It may be that children of parents who hit them are more likely to be difficult or violent because of their genes - the same genes that made the parent likely to hit the child in the first place. Without controlling for genetics, there's no way we can move from correlation to causality.
