The Ender-2 Pro does indeed only have a single part cooling fan. Thank you for everyone in the comments who pointed that out, I appreciate the correction. Even a handful of Creality resellers list Dual Print Fans on the spec sheet, seems to be a mistake in many websites/reviews. I'll keep my eye out for issues like this in future reviews, thanks for keeping me honest!

I am a big proponent of UPS. I have my 3d printers hooked up through a UPS. So even if there is a power loss, the printers can still keeping on printing for a little bit. I think it's a must and can save headaches. Especially if you live in an area where power is sketchy.
@HoffmanEngineering2 жыл бұрын
I agree, a UPS can be a big help in areas where brownouts are common. They won't entirely save you from blackouts, as most basic UPSs would only be able to power a printer for 20-30 minutes, but are awesome at keeping a printer running during a brief blip.

I'm wondering if there would be a market for 3dprinter specific UPS boxes. Something that ties back into the printer, like maybe it sends a signal through a line similar to filament runout, or maybe even with some advanced statistics on remaining on-time, so a printer can choose to finish a model when it's nearing the end.

The sample gcode bunny printed with the included PLA quite well on mine. I’ve not tried it with any of my other PLA though. I was equally shocked by the quiet motors and the super loud CPU cooling fan. I had been printing PETg with my Monoprice Mini Select V2 and on the Ender 2, it was horrible. But now that I learned about the auto power off feature, that might be part of the problem I saw on the petg heat tower. I’m back to PLA, using up some of my 3 year old rolls that have been in boxes for a while. This thing is pretty slick with PLA, once dialed in. The bed leveling is a pain, it seems to go out of level on every print, and I’m printing small things I’ve designed. I have the stiffer springs on order, they should be in tomorrow, that might help. This was a good review. I like some of the things you printed.

@7:39 I don't get it, on so many printers the X belt is not running in a straight line! That is a design flaw which is easy to fix designing the printer. When moving more to X-min or X-max, the belt will increase tension.. Why do they leave it like this!?

I have an E3 S1 and I'm looking into a second printer that I can bring up from my shop to get my son involved and just so I can print more. I got a $150 amazon gift card so this guy's only gonna be like 30 bucks with a roll of filament, can never have too much. I originally wanted to get a prusa mini, and I still might but for the price I can get it for I think I'm gonna go for this. Also for the power loss, if you're running stock marlin (can't confirm of itll work with any custom firmware) but M413 S0 (zero) in your start gcode will turn off the power loss recovery. I had to do it on my s1 for the same issues.

I haven't used the KP3S Pro myself. The Ender 2 Pro is great if portability and ease of assembly is important to you. If you don't mind less portability and a larger footprint, the original KP3S has a slight advantage with the direct drive extruder. The KP3S Pro solves the portability issue, but I don't know if that affects how well it prints.

I just recently got the Ender 3v2. I print a lot of functional parts so I use a 0.6m nozzle. I feel like I could use this printer to print quick prototypes. Probably gonna pickup one
@dangerous83332 жыл бұрын
I thought going with a bigger nozzle was just for speed. I would think if you want functional parts you would want more precision and so a smaller nozzle. Maybe I'm wrong.
@HyperFirez2 жыл бұрын
@@dangerous8333 Functional parts are things like brackets as well. Even so, with a 0.6mm nozzle you can lower the layer height to make it more precise. I usually use 0.32mm, but turn it down to 0.24mm or 0.18mm if I need more precision. Eventually, I want to invest into a bigger printer (Ender 5, 6, 7 or Voron 2.4) for printing larger parts. Then I can use my Ender 3 v2 to print at 0.4mm nozzle size for medium sized prints and the Ender 2 for small prints at 0.2mm.

This review left much to be wanted. All you did was highlight a feature you did not seem to like then print awful test prints and amazing final works no mini demo on how you got it to do that. Next I’d like to point out that neither of your links are to an ender of $169. I’m responding to this within 24 hours so it’s not outdated. Shame that click bait is worth more than actually putting in the time to make a decent review especially when considering the company gifted you that to showcase it to an audience. I actually look forward to getting one but reviews like this serve no purpose. It lies about price(yes it’s only $10 but it’s true) then refuses to provide any form information other than you don’t like the lower loss prevention function.

Thank you for the comment. Any suggestions on what would make a review video like this better? I'm always interested in hearing what information viewers would be looking for, I want these videos to be useful to the viewers. I do skip over a lot of the "tuning and tweaking" I do when I first get a printer in these review videos. It often involves just slightly tweaking the slicer profiles until I get a decent result. That could definitely be a whole video tutorial on it's own. I do apologize for the price difference. Seemed like prices for this specific reseller jumped between when the script and video was produced and when it was released. Other resellers still have it listed at $169 USD, so I wasn't quite sure how to handle that.
