Currently, in live patch, I've noticed that fire Mage with the Crit chance talent, flame patch, and Flame On talents, along with class trinket from Archimonde works really well together. Opening with the blink/breath into ice floes and fireball x2 and combustion as the fireball goes out. Then pyroblast > fire blast > pyroblast > fire blast > pyroblast > flame on > fire blast > pyroblast > fire blast > pyroblast. And all this along with the tier set, you should be shelling out so much damage with the flame strikes leaving that flame patch, this works extremely well when fighting a melee class. I don't play with shimmer, I use cold snap for the double block. You could also throw in a nova silence in there if you're a belf. If not the nova blink works well too. And when blinking away, I tend to use meteor in sort of a predicted path from outside the nova. This could be potential damage output without wasting anytime. This will only work for the next month because legion is being dropped.

About the Shimmer vs interrupts, it is by design. During Cata (patch 4.2.0), interrupts were adjusted to always hit the target (perheaps for PvE reasons at the time, when you could miss an interrupt on bosses). Exactly, without Phoenix flames and flare up honor talent, we have way too much downtime, with 41% crit atm in arena etc i'm sometimes casting 6-8 scorches on a bad run to build my 1st half-proc to setup for damage which is insane, as opposed to flare up which would allow me to double tap fire blast, insta proc done, and extra fire blast, and x3 phoenix flames to further increase crit chains whilst doing the same damage as insta pyro's, the difference between pre-patch fire mage and level 110 fire mage will be huge, but for now as a fire mage only player and 2 year fire mage main, i will just practice and practice new rotation for the remainder of pre-patch so I'm ready to tear alliance apart @ 110

Nice video cartoonz. Could you also make a video like this about arcane mages? I know you already made some videos about arcane, but they were mainly about duelling against melee classes. I'd like to know how you fight off other ranged DPS as arcane in Legion. Based on what I have seen from your videos arcane does very well against melee, but I do see some trouble for arcane mages against casters/other ranged DPS. My impression is other ranged classes have more control/survivability vs. an arcane mage. Could you perhaps tell your views on this matter? How can arcane mages fight off other ranged? I'd already be happy with a reply, but a video would be great!

Since blizzard packed it together with the stat templates, do the PvP damage modifiers work in duels (not templates but things like Pyro doing only 70% damage etc). Duels are fun to watch but they are screwed enough as is, if it were the case that those multipliers didn't work either duels would be totally pointless in terms of testing stuff out and even to an extent learning the boundaries of your class.

Touch of death is now a dmg cooldown for ww monks. U put it up and dmg u do stack as a dot that explodes when the timer ends. That's why it said 400k dmg on 1 ability. but it's a ramp up ability. If you can keep the monk off you it hits like a noodle :P But yes, ww is strong af atm.

The shadow priest will only be playable in 3s, while Fire is the burts asset for the team. Blizzard has "balanced quote and quote, that every spect has a role in arenas.(which means a duels will become even more unbalanced) So that means a specs no longer has a large amount a utility against such as a melee mobility which requires your teammates to peel. I guess this is just me but I will have a hard time to get use to this. But I guess I have to see how will blizz improves it from now on before loosing my shit :)

Cartoonz, maybe it's because you actually shimmer and don't blink, that you don't get that 1.5 sec 100% miss chance? Maybe that's the bug? You can easily verify this in a duel with a friend. :)

Its only 1% more crit, which is basically nothing. for a mage Arcane Torrent is way better than Darkflight because you already have 2 blinks.

I really hate dueling in durotar, such an unfriendly enviroment, for example every time I win someone in a duel they will either complain or call out their rating to be higher so it automatically makes them feel better. same as if you lose you still get called bad ect, im surprised you didn't get spammed or something because you just wreck everyone because thats usually how it goes when no one can beat u in durotar haha!
