To beat a warlock as a boomkin, duel near a pillar and run behind it and heal when he pops unending resolve and dark pact. Then pop burst cds after he pops his defensive cooldowns.

+Hogmanlolz I love how you always comment while playing! This is something few KZbinrs do, but it is invaluable for people like me, that aren't pros but want to learn the class/spec. There are some "guides" that teach: "pop DoTs and then burst, there you go, you can play boomkin!", but we know that PvP in WoW is way more complex than that. Your videos always teach how to react to other specs bursts, CCs, utility and this is what makes a good player. Amazing content, I'm a subscriber since end-MoP and the quality of your videos is increasing every day! Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Hey Cartoonz, been a big fan, you practically taught me how to play Frost in WoD through your videos. Just wanted to say I've played Boomkin a lot and I'd suggest Wild Charge instead of Displacer Beast. It takes an extra GCD for a similar effect if you switch into Travel Form, but if you jump and use the innate Moonkin one it actually sends you fairly far back, and it has half the CD. Idk if you've done any experimenting with it, I've just found it to be more useful against melee.

Just wanted to add on to your comment about warlocks being unkillable in duels! Playing as an aff lock myself, I feel confident about many classes, but there are some that prove very hard. All specs of rogue are a real game of juking and trying to outplay eachother. It feels doable, but when I had my Healthstone bug out in probably 75% of the duels (Sweet Souls +50% max health heal not triggering) it's very hard to get any consistent results and adapt tactics. When it bug, I can't win against a good rogue. Beast Master Hunter I can't win no matter what. I've opened with sac pact shield with no minion (~80% of max health shield), used Unending Resolve, Sweet Souls Healthstone on ~10% health, while using gateway to try and kite dire beast pets and fearspam the hunter. Still died within ~15 sec. Unholy DK are also very hard. The Apocalypse on 8 festering wounds are ~2/3 of your max health in damage. Being caught without a shield on and DR active is instant death. Even with essence drain fully stacked it's extremely hard to survive against them.

Good video man, think about using cyclone to give you space to heal and create distance or even just bait a trinket to put them in them in a stun. With roots stun and cyclone should be able to find sometime to heal and prep your burst. Tell me what you think!

I actually like him better than Baj because Cartoonz explains classes, and isn't stuck on himself the way Baj is. Cartoonz holds your interest and is more humble.

No idea what you guys see in Baj, I am subbed to him but he honestly gives nothing. He mostly runs battlegrounds with pocket healers and goes on about how strong warriors are when in fact the class is not working properly and in need of help, it struggles to solo. Hit em with the flex, my lifting here, drink this sponsored drink and look at my house I am buying and furniture etc... That's not really what I want when I watch a wow vid. They removed the moon spells from being instant cast with Owlkin Frenzy, as well when they get kicked you are locked out of arcane AND nature. Dueling melee is much harder now. :(

Exactly. It has three instances of the spell. The first is a 1 second cast, then a 2 second cast, then a 3 second cast. Each one does increased damage than the previous one. The recharges are every 15 second with 3 charges. They also produce astral power.

So first off great videos. Hard to find solid up to date info some times. And i'm a pvp'er 9 times out of 10. On to my question. With the recent changes and adjustments, that where bound to happen and have happened to many classes. I read that Owlkin Frenzy no long can be used with the New moon, half moon, and full moon. Is this true and if so what are your thoughts on that change to boomkin regarding their place in arena teams and pvp in general? My biggest fear is in this what feels like a melee heavy expansion I'm going to get trained like an ele shaman. (I feel like mages have better tools to deal with melee) I love the druid and will keep playing it but my time is limited with work and life. That being said I would just go play a Affliction lock or fire mage for my arena teams sake and druid in my own good time.

Hey Toonz, I love all your videos and learning how to play my class the best i can from you. However,(and I know it is fast paced)it would be nice if you could slow down the commentary at least in maybe the first duel so it is a bit easier to hear and understand all the things you are doing at that time. I definitely believe in "overspeed training" in all sports/games but to slow things down also can have a great impact on learning and also actually understanding what you/I/we are doing. Just a suggestion but I think it may help a lot of people, especially newcomers(and me :D).

Moonkins are kinda trash against casters because they have no long range CC (Bash is melee) and only an interrrupt. Moonkin defensive cd's are also utterly weak against casters, only a weak 20% damage reduction on a 1 min cd basically. Resto affinity heals are super weak, the weakest of the hybrid casters if you care to math out the heal amounts with artifact perks factored in, both ele shaman and spriest 2 flash heals with masochism heal for what healing touch+rejuv+regrowth do combined, and their heals cannot be dispelled unlike regrowth/rejuv. Their heals also don't pop them out of form and incur a GCD to shift back in. Moonkins also have no emergency immunities/burst reducers like Dispersion or Health Stone/Dark Pact+Unending Resolve/Ice Block. Moonkins are the very definition of glass cannon casters.

Without being able to stand back and receive heals or avoid being targeted, Boomkins won't do well in duels. Almost completely useless 1v1 against melee. Definitely glass cannons.

great vid but disagree with your comment about solar beam needing to be nerfed. Wind Sheer, Kick, Mind freeze, Spear Hand Strike, etc.... Boomkin only class without a kick. Solar Beam SHOULD be able to be spec'd into to be our kick. I mean, we have to physically go and choose those talents so, it's not OP. It's balance. Outside of that, i like your vids :)

So i was watching a very skill hunter on twicth call it Rikinias or something, he was destroy by monks,warlocks and rogues in seconds,he has to use a specialy tree of talents to deal with each class and have a minimun chance of winning,its actuaclly kind of fun cuz some players kinda know him and they were laughing and spit in on his corpse every time he die,like they were so superior players cuz his class its complety broke and Bliz dont give a shit,and we are just a month of release... You can NOT beat an affliction lock. I have tried for days now, no luck. I logged my crappy affliction alt that I never played after hitting 100 and I am not losing to anything while on him. So I have no warlock skills but still manage to win consistently.
