Just saw Setzers big band 2 nights ago. Fucking unreal show. Setzer is the best guitar player in the world that gets not near enough credit. People talk about Keith Richards? Jesus. Keef couldn't carry Setzer's balls in a paper sack. Anyway wore my Motorhead shirt to the show, and all the rockabilly guys were coming up and offering condolences. Pretty cool. I wish Lemmy and Setzer had done something together. It coulda been epic.

If he were playing bass on someone else's record, or like when they did Hellraiser he has dialled his tone back a couple of notches to suit the song. This song really should have a tone that's basically reverse every setting on his bass and amps. It was after all written for an upright. That said though, I like that he didn't do that. This is a trio of guys who are all well known and very possibly might never play together again. And of course that's a certainty now. So in this case they should all sound like themselves. And I think Lemmy was sadly wildly underrated as a bass player. What he played here was just right for the song even if it does sound like he played it on a Husqvarna.
