We stayed for 3 weeks Danang and 1 week Hoi An in November and the main beach in Hoi An was very much covered in rubbish and a lot of styrofoam. The beach chair vendors made no effort to clean up at all. People sat amongst this. Also in Hoi An there are a lot of touts every few steps especially in the old town Danang was a lot nicer. Not many touts. A beautiful long clean beach, with a beautiful promenade.

Looks like you got very unlucky! Probably because November is low season (rain/typhoon). We just spend 3 days on the beach in Hoi An and it’s very clean, and the water is perfect

I heard depending on the season, storms can bring in trash from other countries like the Philippines. So I wonder if that's what happened when you were there as I've not seen the beaches with any rubbish from other youtubers that showed the beach.

The Vietnamese National Assembly approved on June 24 a government proposal to extend the validity of tourist e-visas from 30 to 90 days and allow visitors multiple entries. The amendments will take effect on August 15, 2023.

You can exit Vietnam and return on a new visa.
