My wife and I spent 2 weeks in Hoi AN. Loved it too.. visited the wet markets. Such a friendly layed back people. Not like westerners with our material things. Got shoes and a suit made. Quality. Notice the lime wash at the foot of trees. To stop bug infestation. Spring rolls are the best.❤

For rice cakes, you can buy bánh hỏi package. I prefer the Bamboo brand (green). Place them in a draining basket with another basket below, pour boiling water in to soak for a couple of minutes. Drain the water, and carefully (since it’s hot) stack and press some together so that they can form a chunk, then cut them into those cubes, like at the restaurant.

For the prawns if you don't want to eat the head and the shell , you can always ask the waiter to tell the cook to remove them for you. Just say " Khong Dâu Khong Vo " which means No Head No Shell " .

Hi Debbi, I love to see that most of restaurant in Hoi An and also gave us a name of those places you came, it was helpful for us Vietnamese American . My family going to land at Ha Noi in November, but unfortunately the horrify Typhoon Yagi hit the Northern of VN, we intend to visit Ha Long Bay but the news said that the coast hit very bad, I want to change my direction to Da Nang and Hoi An . And also find out it's raining season in November so I don't should I take my chance or not but one of my daughter decided to be there. By the way would you please let me know the name of hotel you stayed at Hoi An so my daughter can book it too because it seem like very close and access to different places around town, and one more time I would like to say that you and your husband are very generous people. Hello, we love watching your videos and your experiences in Vietnam. We are travelling there later this month to Ho Chi Minh and Hoi An, we have visited Hoi An in recent years and love it. Just wondering did you set up the Grab app when you arrived in Vietnam or before you travelled, we would like to use it and any advice from yourselves would be greatly appreciated. 😊

Hello!😊 We set it up the first time when we arrived in Vietnam with our local sim number. Now every time we go back we change the number in the app to our new number. If we had an e-sim (which we don't) we could change it to that and if we had roaming we would change it to our Australian number 😁 When we get our sim at the Airport (we use Viettel ) we enter the number into the app and we can use grab immediately. We then get a grab to the hotel😁 You can now download the App before you travel and then when you open it in Vietnam it will ask you to select the country. You can either put in your card details (we have never had a problem with this) or you can pay cash at the end of the ride. Once you get Grab going it is fantastic. It gives you so much freedom. So happy you are enjoying the channel! 😊So excited for you😁Hope that helps. If not come back to us 😁😁😁 Have a nice weekend!

I was going to get the 12 but if the price difference is small I might go for the 13 in a few months. It's quite sweet from condensed milk. With the strong coffee, sweetness and a touch of salt it is like a coffee version of salted caramel. It is very good😋😋😋
